"2. Don't Focus on the Gamer
The one thing that Sony absolutely nailed at their PlayStation 4 reveal was their messaging that the PS4 is all about the gamer"
This point about focus is what I'm most concerned about at the Xbox reveal. First impressions are vitally important and if MS want to sell their console as an entertainment device rather than a game device they will HAVE to show a lot of non-gaming material.

"failed sarcasm"
Wha? You're either being sarcastic or you're not, there's no fail lol.
I guess you meant it failed to be humorous, which is highly subjective, why not let others decide that for themselves. It was a harmless joke anyway, don't know why you're on my back about it.
They lost my confidence the day they posted that slowed down video of GT5 load screens; such an obvious, hit seeking, troll attempt.
What really rubs salt in the wound of poor Kotaku submissions here on N4G is that they currently have a 3 star rating despite many calls to vote them down. I can't be the only one who is constantly down-voting their crap.
I can see why people who only played the bad ending might consider the choice of good as canon to be a disappointment but you have to consider part of what makes the InFamous games great, power.
A big part of the fun of InFamous, at least for me, was the feeling that you were a superhero/villan with great power in a modern day open world setting. If the bad ending was to be canon we would be a powerful guy in a world full of powerful guys, it just wouldn't feel the sam...
Wait there's going to be EA games and a new Forza?!?
MEGATON!!

I will be buying this game at or very near launch as I find it hard to believe that the legendary Mark Cerny would create a bad game. I still to this day occasionally boot up Crash Bandicoot and don't even get me started on how many hours I put into Marble Madness as a youngling.
While I don't entirely agree, the smaller more innovative titles are indeed very important. Sony has noticed this and taken MASSIVE steps to make their platforms the first choice for these kind of developers.
There's absolutely no reason this can't happen. Sony's strategy so far has won over quite a few gamers and should XB3 not be quite up to par then we could easily see a return to the PS2 days of dominance.
C'mon guys let's all join the X-club, it's where all the cools kids go.
RADICAL TO THE MAX!
Nope there'll be plenty of content that is 100% PS4 only and even the titles that do release "cross-generation" will look and run better on PS4. Seems like win-win to me.
How does 'HDMI in' replace a DVR?
I see your point but what if they design the Xbox OS around the use of Kinect/touchscreens? The same issue will apply.
Like I mentioned in the blog, it might not affect it at all but just as I can't say for certain that it will, you can't say for certain that it won't.

True, it will eventually bite them in the buttocks.
Just not enough of them around these days, Knack will also be on my launch buy list, if only to support the genre.
Theyve only announced Ustream so far but it's likely that partners such as twitch and youtube ill be revealed soon, E3 maybe? Either way they'll come eventually.
Pre-Order ASAP!
I see rushed movie tie-ins...
"Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen"
What matters more is the release date, if it's pushied into 2014 as some rumors suggest then THAT would be a problem, maybe. Although PS4 has enjoyed a lot of unchallenged hype since the reveal in Feb.
