OK. So obviously none of you know-it-all fanboys clicked on the link and checked out the actual gameplay vid of the lap in the Impreza. Furthermore, I'm gonna go ahead and state that none of you crying Sony fanbabies have ever even PLAYED Forza 2 or 3 ( Imean "played" not "saw screenshots on the net"). the in-race footage clearly demonstrates that FM4 has made a huge graphical leap over FM3 (which also made a graphical leap from FM2).
FM4 in no w...
@ LastGuardian, I wouldn't worry about not having enough time to enjoy your new Ps3 and 360/Kinect... Any evidence of next-gen consoles (aside from the Wii U) points to them releasing around 2013. So figure 2 years from now they might be available in stores, BUT, the big question is what titles will launch with them?? It's never a bad idea to wait until after the first year or 2 of a console's launch to reap the benefits of potential price reduction, plus two years after a conso...
It may be the game or the game type.. sometimes I can't connect to a BC2 match, or I'll keep getting booted during the match, but it's usually only one game type that does this to me and only happens every so often. I usually play squad rush on BC2, but sometimes if it wont find a match or keeps booting me, I'll load up squad deathmatch or conquest and it usually works fine.. the game servers maybe?
They haven't learned "tactical strategy" in school yet! That explains why so few people sprint around the maps with shotguns in Battlefield!
This demographic split is something I've noticed though, as I tend to play CoD and BC2 online quite a bit... Sometimes when I'm playing CoD the voices coming through the comm set don't even sound like they came from a person old enough to hold a controller!
If you've never seen The Whit...
Whatever the case, I just hope 343 improves the gameplay mechanics. At the very least, couldn't they just add an aim-down-the-sights mechanic so we could squeeze off a proper headshot without a sniper rifle? Halo never appealed to me after I played Halo 3, because of the uber simple run-shoot-jump gameplay. As a matter of fact, add an ironsights aim mechanic (like every other FPS made after 2005) and I'm sold. I know it sounds like a retarded complaint, but shooting hordes of alie...
I don't "hate" Kinect per se, but I have a hard time finding how it fits into my idea of "core" gaming.. I'm okay with peripherals that you can use to play a game (i.e. Racing Wheels and Light gun/ sharpshooter peripherals) but the idea of playing Forza while I hold out my hands and pantomime steering, or playing a game like Battlefield 3 while holding a pretend gun..
This is where I think Sony did it better with the Move. like I said, I'm n...
I honestly didn't care much for the first Far Cry.. Too much silly running and gunning and poor vehichle controls. Far Cry 2, however, is one of my top 5 favorite titles this console generation, and honestly there's isn't much I'd change about it, aside from the obvious bugs that show up from time to time.
Most of the things the editor of this article and you folks would change, are things that I though kept Far Cry 2 seperated from the FPS pack. I would mos...
Here i was hoping that CoD would indeed make changes here an there to stay competitive in the FPS field, but the more gameplay I see of MW3, the less excited I get.. I mean, have we even seen any new weaponry? Here's Jimmy Fallon shooting people with the same ol' Glock and M1887 Shotgun from MW2.. in other trailers and demos we've seen the MP5, M4, and UMP45... are they planning on giving MW any new weapons?
for me personally.. (maybe I don't speak for most "hardcore" gamers here), but for me, when I have an evening or a saturday all to myself I wanna RELAX and GAME IT UP man.. and by that I mean, play videogames until my eyes hurt. Throw on some comfortable clothes, have cold beverages and some snacks nearby, maybe order some take out, the whole nine yards. I wanna pull the shades down, dim the lights, sit in my awesome comfy chair, crank the surround sound WAY up, and pop my favo...
..but i cant help but notice how many people are posting all sorts of questions that they would've known the answer to if they had read the article first. Seriously folks, it's like 3 paragraphs long!
Also: I see a lot of fanbaby whining here about how M$ got a hold of the "exclusivity" of the MGS series from Sony.. Maybe it's cuz 75% of you were like 2 years old when the Ps2 was the console leader, but the MGS games were always Timed Sony exclusives. ...
@ Paintsville and Statix:
Seriously guys? It might look slightly (like, REALLY slightly) better on one console over the other, but to me Multiplats look identical on both consoles. If there is even a difference you'll hardly notice unless you have robot eyes. Its not like one version will be nearly as pristine as the PC version and the other will look like a bucket full of polygons and jaggies..
Midnight Club: LA has got to be one of the most frustratingly impossible games of this gen. "green" races are difficult and challenging, "Yellow" races are just barely doable if you have the correct modifications to your car, can drive well, AND know your way around town.. "Orange" and "red" races?" pshhh... don't even try. They are IMPOSSIBLE even in a McLaren F1 with all mods and upgrades equipped!! This game is a blast, but the frustration ...
Punctuation Fail. About 28% of what you wrote is intelligible.
NOVEMBER!? Wait so now I need to add this to my list of absolutely MUST OWN titles that are all coming out in November!? hmm.. Forza 4, Uncharted 3, BF3, MW3, The Witcher 2, MGS HD collection....damn I should apply now for a second mortgage, because I can't afford NOT to own all these games on day one!
Or maybe because, Hideo Kojima is really a gamer at heart, and knows how EPIC the MGS series is, and thinks that gamers of all walks of consoles get a chance to play the collection.
Why anyone would care what system it's on if they already own that system and can play it on day one... confuses me. With this game not being an exclusive, does that mean PS3 players will enjoy it less??? I don't remember 360 players crying foul when Mass Effect made the jump to ps3.. ...
This is a pretty awesome idea! Think of the varied environments and missions the player could undertake: A stealthy nighttime raid on a cocaine refinery situated deep in the Columbian Jungle? An urban takedown of a known viscous Drug Czar in Juarez? A cat-and-mouse pursuit of a rogue cartel informant through a booby-trapped Mexico-US border area? A rooftop hostage rescue in a drug-war torn Tijuana?
Of course, it would still be a call of duty game, so would play the same, ...
People who didn't buy the Ps3 on day one were likely folks that didn't have the $600 dollars to drop on a console that didn't even ship with a game.. So a day one Ps3 purchase, including tax and the price of ONE game to play on it would've landed a ballpark estimate of about $725 (or more if you wnated more than one game for you shiny, new, hi-tech HD console).
I had my heart dead set on a PS3 because at the time before either console launched both MGS4 and ...
What!? When did either company formally announce they had next gen consoles "currently in development!?" I think this article is for cheap hits on that website, since they don't cite any sources or quote any Sony reps.. Last I heard (read in game informer about a year ago), both Sony and Microsoft have plans to continue to upgrade their consoles to keep them current for 10 yrs.
My prediction is that there will be a bridge between these current consoles and b...
AMEN!!!!! Bubbles for you, man...especially the part about "n4g elitist-know-it-all gamers can say whatever they like." Oh and they will, believe me. But a REAL gamer knows what they like, and doesn't jump on silly bandwagons.
I dunno if i agree that CoD is ONLY played by lil kids. I definitley think that a younger demographic gravitates toward it, but i think thats mostly because all their peers have it and it's relatively easy and straight-forward.
My friends and I are all in our late 20's-early 30's, and we definitley play the hell out of BOTH games! I think to an older crowd the two games offer two different flavors for the pallette (a fast paced run-n-gun, and a slower paced, t...
