If you're a mongoloid hipster who thinks of gizmos as fashion accessories, sure, it'll be a better gaming deivce than, say, a touch, or iPod classic. But that's where the "crazy awesome" ends.

FWIW, 100% of my PC purchases last year were digital (Steam). I tend to bargain shop for the PC on Steam, though. I rarely buy day one or preorder PC stuff. Maybe BF3, I will.
The Multiplayer on this PWNS for a portable title. I'm blown away by how good this game is. If you take the MP into account this game is a 9, for me... (the reviewer did a really good job, IMHO, I'd just score the game even higher).
I was going to boycott it due to the goofy DRM but gave in after I rented it and tried the single player. Glad I bought it.
It'd be a shame to see ROM carts die. Good to see the Big N rocking their platform like it's 1979.

I (heart) TF2 but personally, for my tastes, Valve's a seriously overrated studio. To be honest, I think the most important and groundbreaking thing they've done is Steam.
I think they should fix the PS3 GOTY edition before they release a new game. :)
@1.8: I have F3 on my 360 and I was actually considering getting GOTY for the PS3 for all the DLC, etc, but I heard the same thing you did w.r.t. glitches and bugs in the PS3 version.
It scared me off... it sounds like Betheseda has been completely irresponsible in their support of the PS3 to the point where they've released an unusable product and then refused to support it. Makes me want to boycott everything from them now.
3D may be just around the corner for the PS3 but for me it's about eight years off, since I pulled the trigger on a new 62" HDTV for our home theater setup last year.
TBH, if I were a reviewer I'd knock off at least a quarter to half a point off for lack of camera controls, that's something I've always disliked about GoW.
You can go ahead and hit disagree now, since everyone here is so hyped for GoW3 that no critical opinions are allowed. :)
I'm playing through God of War Collection and Dante right now, and really, I'm loving DI, it's holding up really well compared directly against the grand-daddy of the genre. I dig Dante's Christian symbolism and the Hell setting is pretty amazing, the game has an incredibly dark and gothic feel that is great for a game of this type.

This is all about selling TVs for Sony. They, along with every other TV manufacturer, DESPERATELY want a good reason to compel people to buy a new TV or more importantly keep prices UP on new TVs now that the HDTV ball is rolling in the land of the consumer.

Can you move the camera AT ALL in GoW3? This is driving me nuts in 1&2 on the GOW Collection. I keep rolling when I'm trying to look around.
@1.11: I agree that the the long term plan all of these guys have is to try to control the market and distribution as much as they can to maximize profits.
The next gen is going to be a trainwreck w.r.t DRM, etc. It'll have to get worse before the companies realize that consumers can't be milked/nickle and dimed endlessly.
