The M60 must be a PC thing. I see no problem with it on the PS3. I don't use it but I don't get killed by it a lot either so it's not OP like the MAG LMGs or anything.
The Gustav is an anti-infantry device, IIRC, so it makes sense that you can kill people with it and it's not fantastic against armor. Again, I don't see a zillion people running around noob tubing with the Gustav on the PS3.
I still find snipers to be the most annoying thing in the game. Which is sort ...
It's because it PWNs and the Japanese devs support it with games. It's got a bunch of popular JRPG offerings and the PSN comix store supports Manga, etc, as well. It's freaking great little box and the Japanese are hip to that.
BFBC2 is so awesome that them saying it's not a BFBC2 clone almost worries me! :) Still, MOH is looking like a D1P for me.
This article doesn't make any sense... It's just an excuse to b*tch @ Sony.
The other OS feature was pulled from NEW units with the Slim already so it's not like you could buy new PS3s with the feature and they're just deactivating it for old boxes, now. If you're using an old PS3 as a Linux box instead of a gaming machine you don't need patches/upgrades for the Sony OS anyway so keep using the old box.
The Slim dropping the feature was a MUCH bigger issue for super ...
To be honest, I would probably BUY this game if it were real. I've always wanted to be a water mammal of death.
I find it disturbing that FF outsold GOW3 by well over 2X with only one extra week. I've been burnt out on FF for over a decade.
I like Crysis well enough, and I've played it @ high settings on my gaming PC, so don't even go there with the whole "if you've played it you KNOW this (followed by some opinion as fact)"... but really, I don't get this universal "best graphics ever" claim everyone always lays on it.
It's a great game but really if you've played a bunch of modern games (PC and console) and then check out the old standby Crysis, it's like "Seriously? This is the BEST thing...
This crossed my mind, too. Sounds like they caught ALL of them and then some. :)
20K lawsuits? that's like what? 0.01% of sll bit torrent users in any given month? And these are for what? German independent films pirated in the US? Talk about long odds.
Sweet! A FREE DRM pack for BFBC2!
Seriously, though, this is a trivial update that could have easily been part of the original game but instead it is being enabled as part of EAs DRM/used copy lock down strategy and clueless users cheer like they're getting something for nothing.
MAG has less general appeal:
A certain type of player is really going to get into it and it's REALLY going to resonate with them. It's like an MMOFPS. the leadership stuff is really cool, etc.
I like the game a lot and have already got my money's worth but I can't help but feel it is only living up to a small part of its potential. They need to expand the clan/team support. I think Zipper also needs to expand the Shadow War concept and they DESPERATELY need more map...
@Thanatos: "You can tell which ones have played MAG and those that havent. After playing MAG, every other game feels empty and lacking."
Okay you can turn the hype down, now.
I got both as day 1 purchases and BFBC2 is quite a bit better, IMHO. So, opinions vary... MAG is actually pretty tiresome to me these days. I'm in a clan and clan matches are pretty darn fun but if you're playing with randoms it's a complete waste of time at least half the time. A LOT ...
But. But. But. You'll be able to run emulated SNES games! Won't that make it all worthwhile?
/sarcasm
The CFW scene on the PSP is a FREAKING MESS. I would never wish that sh*t on the PS3. You can't even access PSN on a CFW PSP any more and any feature beyond 5.x is basically inaccessible. Because SONY DID WIN but, the PSP platform itself, LOST.
Dark Alex retired and CFW has been a trainwreck ever since and devs stay away from the PSP because it has a horrible rep for hacking and piracy.
I have one of my four PSPs on CFW because I can run emulators and load a bunch o...
1. It's not like Crytek's engines are known for their efficiency.
2. This is an Apples/Oranges comparison, especially considering the UE3 is a current version of an existing product that has been deployed in hundreds of products and the CE3 is a cutting edge technology prototype that has not shipped in a single product, yet.
I should certainly hope CE3 would look way better given these points.
Anyone who considers MW2 a "casual" game needs to put down their internet and step back for a little while because they have completely lost all perspective.
MW2 is incredibly, crazy, non-casual. People who do not play it constantly and who do not have SERIOUS FPS chops will get completely and utterly pwned. A lot of people get frustrated by cheap exploits but it's designed as a hardcore game (as was COD4, which really is fundamentally the same) and generally plays lik...
OP: "I already got FF 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, 13 and tactics in discs, so this doesn't really make me excited at all. "
It's pretty F'n sweet news for people Rocking Sony official Firmware on their PSPs, though! Most of the PS1 classics play and look good on a PSP, more so than the PS3 in a lot of cases (due to the smaller size and lower res on the PSP screen).
Those games are a great value for PSP owners since some of those games really are great designs. I...
I think LBP is an excellent example of a modern pay DLC situation where it has really enhanced the game. The user levels are essentuially Free mods and the company sells completely optional stuff like level pack, costumes, and level creation textures/objects for reasonable amounts. You could easily play millions (literally) of user created levels without ever paying for DLC but if it enhances your gameplay like a (Kratos costume or you want to create a pirate themed level) you can buy some re...
When he gets promoted to "Colonel" they're going to give him a 400Gb drive.
Then it'll only be 100Gb less than the 500Gb drive in my PS3.
@Blaze929: Right on. It's just business reasons.
It would be retarded to burn Blu-rays for two add-ons for the PS3. 360s don't have wifi built-in and their discs are way cheaper to produce. So they're just trying to get their DLC in front of as many people as they can and still turn a profit.
I'd be p*ssed if they didn't make the the DLC for PS3 but if you want it right now, its available on PSN and you'll be able to buy it as a bundle or on a single Blu-Ray with eve...
