Jeebus. Two and half hours of non-interactive video in a game and you guys complain that it's NOT ENOUGH? Okay... whatever. Some people just have to hate.
Hopefully, they'll use the long lead time for an extended multiplayer beta.
Just to put this in perspective, according to VGChartz, out of the top 5 all time sellers for PS3 and XBOX 360. THREE of them are Activision games and not just any Activision games ALL THREE are Call of Duty games. This franchise has had unprecedented success.
So.... just on those two platforms, the three titles in question have sold a combined, 41.6 MILLION copies. If you figure average purchase price is $50, that is $2 BILLION in revenue generated just from those three games on...
So there's a Guinness "world record" for "most magazine cover appearances for a video game"? They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for record ideas.
We're ALL douchebags for supporting Chinese virtual slave labor. There's not a single person on here who hasn't contributed money to this system and thereby implicitly supported it.
I've got a mint copy of "Damnation" for the PS3 that I'm burying in my yard. When I pass away my will will reveal it's location so my children can auction it and pay off their mortgages. My favorite child will also get my pristine copy of "Rise of the Argonauts" by Codemasters in a hermetically sealed package.
Who are you to judge the buyer of this? For all you know he gives a million dollars a year to charity when he's not collectiing ultra expensive games.
Judging someone else with absolutely no understanding of the context is far worse than collecting and preserving something seen as a valuable reminder of the past by some.
+1. The Western genre is severely under served by gaming. I'm psyched to see something of this quality coming out for it.
+1. It's funny how people just pull stuff out of their ass and then speak to it or use it to bolster an argument as if it were some kind of hard data. The survey did not address hours worked.
That's ironic, I wouldn't be a car salesman for a million dollars a year. But that's why I went to college, I guess.
So much for the archetype of the poor, underpaid, developer everyone cries about when talking about game prices, piracy, etc.
It's time people realize most of the rising fees and costs they're paying for stuff are being applied to Bobby Kotick's yacht payments rather than to finally raising some poor dev's salary above slave wages.
A next gen PSP should also have bluetooth, GPS, and 3G data support and will almost certainly have a touch screen and accelerometer. Totally agree with the idea that the next Sony PSP or PSPphone should be on PSN ALL the time just like a PS3.
Backwards compatibility with the prior model would be a requirement, also.
PS2 compatibility would be nice, also.
And then he proceeded to stick his foot right in his mouth. Regardless of who brought the topic up he's the one acting like an ass. So you can stop bringing up the fact that he didn't initiate the topic and also stop acting as if that is somehow a free pass for acting like a moron.
That way we can go back to talking about how idiotic his comments are when he's asked about competitors products.
He has a right to say this because Crysis and Crysis Warhead were brilliant stories worthy of standing beside the finest literature. Oh wait.... No... Nevermind.
I want a PSP version!
It only does: Aggravated Assault.
Do you mean it was "AWFUL" or full of "AWE"?
It worked for Bad Company 2. Oh wait a minute... no, it didn't. :)
Duke Nukem was my first thought as well. :)
This guys a retard. MAG had virtually ZERO hype outside of hardcore gamer word of mouth. LBP was not hyped to death it was just absolutely brilliant and got the awards/praise it deserved. And anyone who had any sense at all wasn't expecting anything from the other 3. Here's some truly over hyped games:
Halo Anything
MW2
Haze
GTA Anything
Bayonetta
Assassin's Creed 1
