@Master Blaster: Shooting mechanics... WTF is that? FWIW, I fire an LMG from the hip for most of my kills in MAG. The game's bullet models are freaking ridiculously bad, not aiming down the sights and strafing with an LMG is kill city. I'd always assumed this was an intentional trade off Zipper made to help with lag/netcode in their 256 player support.
I love the game but, really, you MAG fanboys are bordering on hype in this thread.
My time between the two is about ...
"We akin the experience to a man taking another man’s “innocence” in a prison shower like in Oz."
Suddenly I'm not as excited about knifing in BFBC2.
@chubear: No, I don't think so... the original poster is correct, I think. Section 8 is going to be a massive failure.
Let's see: a "me too" product in the ULTRA competitive FPS market, with no advertising, on-line only, download only, no demo, and a $30 price tag. They should have had an open beta to generate excitement or something.
Just listening to the description of its market situation and you know its sales are going to be dismal. I wonder how people...
Don't worry this Day 1 DLC bullshit will pan out just the way every other form of DRM has, lawsuit or no lawsuit: the legit customers will be taking it straight up the ass one way or another.
>>> What's even the point of a "but ... but haters still didnt
>>> boycott " argument ?
>>>
>>> Isnt that like admitting that despite the total "suckage"
>>> of your game people acted like junkies ?
It's actually more like calling out hypocrisy, IMHO.
I thought it was hilarious when that boycott poll was still up and after the game dropped, the status of two thirds of the people ...
Re: Lag
I'm not having any lag trouble on the PS3 version. I've noticed it a couple of times. I've gotten a couple of disconnects and the game has locked the PS3 up twice which was super annoying. But overall I think this game is pretty solid in the MP code when EAs servers are running properly.
Re: Ping
Since EA runs the servers for the console versions it doesn't make any sense to show ping it's just going to confuse people on consoles. The game is going to take pin...
I'm trying to think of something more gay than merging JRPGs with Disney Characters but I'm failing.
Maybe Pokemon cross licensed with the Care Bears or something?
Sounded like they were trying to pick some "diamond in the rough" kind of titles rather than the big megasellers. Sort of like, hey, if the PSP has a successor soon, make sure you play these guys before leaving the original; i.e. there's an implicit assumption most long time PSP owners have played GOW, GTA, Crisis Core, etc.
The PSP has such a big selection of great titles that trying to limit yourself to a list of five "best" titles wouldn't make sense.
People still play MAG? ;)
It's sold more units than the X360 and PS3 to date. 50M+ units for a handheld game system that has had a street price in the US of nearly $180 or more in the US for most of its product life is hardly a flop by ANY measure.
SOCOM FTB3 completely kicks ass and was released last month.
The Dante's Inferno PSP version from just a couple of weeks ago is freaking ASTOUNDING, nearly as good as the system selling GOW title, but no one even bothered to review it.
People are in such a rush to dismiss the PSP that they simply say "no software" without even bothering to stay informed.
The PSP has a hellaciously good software library that's been built up over the last 5 years and So...
Agreed. A second stick would really be the best possible upgrade... I'd rather see that than virtually any other feature.
A device with those specs that was backward compatible would be pure win.
If this Fails as badly technology and software library wise as the DS did I'll take a wait and see approach on it and see what the competition brings.
I've got a phat day one silver DS that's an awesome dust collector; while I use my day one PSP daily for music, movies, comic books, and more hardcore gamer oriented games than what the DS has to offer.
Sony's second generation PSP is sure to pwn this thing hardware-wise.
NO NFL License == Failure in Football Games. This is why it was PURE EVIL for EA to lock other publishers out of NFL games with that onerous contract.
I'm playing through GOW Collection right now (in anticipation of purchasing GOW3, so I can play all three in order) and if the gameplay is the same in GOW3 as it is in the first two games then this game is an overrated hypefest. Seriously. Graphics are great but these games are far from the masterpieces everyone is making them out to be in terms of gameplay (and that's what matters).
I guess I'm jaded but I don't get massive wood every time I see great GFX any more. These first ...
Now that Sony owns mm all previous comments they made about LBP2 happening or more pointedly NOT happening are null and void. I thought that as soon as I had seen that the deal went down.
If N4G would stop reporting every idiotic thing he says as "news" no one would have an opinion on this guy. I almost submitted a "Peter Molyneaux: Natal development requires a fresh, hot, Spicy Chicken Sandwich in order to continue" news article as a joke the other day just to see if N4G would approve it but I was scared they would.
Cosplay is full of gay.
Total agreement. As long as a I have two hands I'll stick with a KB, thanks. People missing a limb might find something like this super useful but as a general product this is a terrible idea.
