So what would you, future VP of marketing, call it?
You're going to want it to have the brand in the title.
If you're not old enough to remember Ultima, you're not grown up enough to make an "ALL TIME" RPGs list.
I'm guessing the guy who wrote this is 25 years old max. He clearly only remembers JRPGs from when he was in middle school.
It's amazing how myopic people are....
You are not everybody, everybody is not you.
I take my PSP with me in a camera bag with room for adapters/headphones/umds/etc every time I fly. Being able to rock PSP games with a Dual Shock on a plane or in a hotel room would be a HUGE feature for people like me. I guess when I was in middle school I would have worried about "looking like a douche" (facepalm).
A firmware update could even allow you to rem...
Actually, I hope it kicks-a**. I don't think I've ever played an actual good Vietnam game. That was a pretty fascinating conflict from a military perspective. And Treyarch's a good dev.... I'm cautiously optimistic on this one in spite of all the knee-jerk COD "1337 G4m3R" hate on the net.
Hp should have saved themselves a billion dollars and let Palm fail by themselves rather than paying through the nose for the privilege of helping them die. HP's a solid technology company but far from visionary enough to make up the kind of ground Apple and Android are taking. Heck, it's looking like MS isn't even going to be able to do it in spite of WinMo7 completing and a many years long head start.
MAG is dying and adding more sniper rifles isn't going to help much.
Are you kidding? That thing is f*cking hideous.
I kind of share the same cynical take as Chubear but toned down:
I think COD/Modern Warfare will continue to sell quite well for several years but I'd be willing to bet when it's all said and done from a sales standpoint, it turns out MW2 was the high water mark. I don't think this has SH*T to do with IW, however.
The genre is becoming saturated with stiff competition and like any genre that has had "fad" level success: Rhythm games, virtual pet games, 1v1...
FWIW, I own stock in Activision and it's done really well in the last year or so, I've owned it. They recently raised guidance (the map pack did really well for them and has not even hit PS3 yet).
They've got a lot of IP in addition to COD and they are looking at wringing as much $$$ out of all of their IPs as possible. You may not think this is awesome as a gamer but as an investor it makes some sense.
ALSO: Blizzard COMPLETELY rocks and Bobby has enough sense to l...
"A fresh pair of undershorts" sounds like a brilliant pre-order bonus for a horror game.
The number one reason is you can't come up with the extra scratch to buy one.
Get a day job and you won't have to worry about "console wars".
I think being able to shoot her in the head would make it a day one purchase just on that feature alone.
So, Kate Beckinsale has morning breath? Sorry but that's a deal breaker for me. Is it like all the time or just after a cig or what?
Thanks for the heads up I'll be sure to continue ignoring this game.
I'll pass on defiling my precious original consoles. Emulators, FTW.
If you're an XP ho, Conquest is a great mode because you can keep recapping the control points for 50/80pts a pop.
The squad based games are fun if you are playing with friends rather than randoms.
That said, Rush is my fave! :)
This is a great great game totally exceeded my expectations.
Agreed.
If I feel I have no chance to complete the game then I lose motivation and the game stops being fun. Good game designers tend to design games that offer the majority of their target audience with a good difficulty/reward ratio and those devs in turn get rewarded with superior sales (provided the other elements are in place as well), this is as it should be.
I'm not super interested in returning to the bad old days of mind numbingly difficult games that repeat...
Reminder: These are the same douchebags who want to stop including hard copies of documentation with software you paid $60 for under the guise of "it's green".
^^^^
I HAVE tried it.. and you're right. :)
I'm glad I can afford all of them, personally, although I admit the PS3 is definitely my "desert island" console.
