this'll be nice for all those 360 fans who are into gerbiling.
This looks COMPLETELY bad ass.
It also has a larger installed user base than the 360 and PS3. LOL. As other have noted, DS is for casual gamers and kids the PSP was designed (and priced) for the cutting edge "hardcore" players and multimedia freaks (the DS doesn't even support writable media (i.e. memory cards)).
The Sony stuff is for high end customers and the Nintendo stuff is for everyone. The latter always sells in greater numbers but that hardly makes it "better".
I might have to boot this up and give it a go. I was a Gears2 Horde mode addict at one point in the recent past. :) I remember a lot of players complaining about the competitive MP modes (although I was pretty happy with them as a n00b).
None of this changes the fact that motion controllers basically suck at their core. LOL.
I played our Wii with my daughter last weekend and it really struck me how I had forgotten how truly gay MC is and how badly it can ruin a game it is not suited to. It just feels so gimmicky and tacked on in so many Wii games and that thing has MC from the ground up.
The PS3 and XBOX fanboys are so busy worrying about who's d*ck is bigger on the move versus Natal thin...
"puts fun back in?" Uhh... WTF? I AM having the best time I've ever had with FPS gaming between BFBC2, MAG, and MW2... BFBC2 in particular. Just because a game doesn't have a retarded kick melee mechanic and stupidly over the top scenario/bosses doesn't mean it aint fun. fun is in the eye of the beholder.
I'm also stoked for Crysis 2, a new Killzone, MOH, Ghost Recon, and might also check out Halo: Reach (not a huge fan of Halo actually),

Do it. It's playable on the PS3 and PSP and is a great quick game with fun humor/atmosphere.
This thing is sex in a box. I'm considering both the PS3 and PSP versions based on the PSP demo.
"If I worked hard on something I would want my money too."
It contains a false implicit assumption: EA didn't work hard. They're a publisher. You know, the middleman. Or "the man" for short.
This move is bad for consumers (us, gamers) it limits our rights, if you put up with it and don't at least speak up you're acting against your own best interest.

If vgchartz is correct:
PC: 310,000
PS3: 1,370,000
X360: 2,030,000
So there goes the most of the players are on the PC theory, although I wonder how they collected the PC numbers.
FWIW, I have it on the PC and the PS3. The PC guys are more "hardcore" than console guys and the game has a few PC only features, better GFX, etc, but to be honest I play it way more on the PS3 because the PS3 is much more convenient and the lack of...
And it'll prevent you from lending your games to friends or borrowing one from a friend. And it'll completely screw you if you change network accounts! And God forbid you have an issue/glitch with the code included for one reason or another. Or there's a manufacturing problem and the code isn't included with your game. Or the code is stolen from the box somehow before you purchase.
Lots of potential new hassles for legitimate end users with no tangible benefi...
+1 to the Trolling comments. BFBC2 is unbelievably good. My fave shooter of all time. I can't believe what a good job they did getting this right the first time. I can't stop playing it.
Hopefully, the balance tweaks will just make things even better and won't mess anything up. Really, when I heard there was an update, my first thought was "I hope they don't make any _major_ changes".
I think a retarded name is more of a *symptom* of the game being an ill-conceived destined-for-mediocrity title than an actual *cause*.
Yup. I think even if the base hardware is simply evolutionary, if they add a second stick and some kind of mapping for backward compatibility a PSP2 could be a world beater of a handheld. Something like a touchscreen and/or 3G would be icing on the cake.
"Sucks less".
Seems like the best selling game system of all-time (PS2) might merit mention.
IMHO, I'm not sure either of the modern HD consoles (X360 or PS3) merit inclusion since they haven't really stood the test of time, yet, and are largely evolutionary. The PS3 is probably more innovative due to the Cell processor stuff, if I had to pick one. Kind of weird that no 16bit consoles were recognized, either.
The problem is that articles like this are just slow new...
"I don't understand the premise of transitioning a proper sequel from console to handheld. This is going to cut off many consumers who enjoyed the first but don't own a PSP or hardly do any handheld gaming."
The PSP PWNs in Japan which is where JRPGs live or die. Since everyone owns a PSP and spends half there life on mass transit or in itty bitty apartments a portable version makes insane amounts of sense. Just not to an American.
The PSP ...
I've got four PSPs one day one 1000 and 3 2000's... Obviously I'm a fan. That said, I may pick up a Go now that I have built up a significant amount of PSN purchases. I think Sony want to forge ahead with the downloadable "app" paradigm.
The only reason I'm holding back is to see what happens @ E3 with the PSP2/phone rumors. Obviously, that'd probably be a day one for a major PSP guy like myself. :)
That's how they are @ 26, too, typically.
I'm zooming in on these and looking at the differences and I'm trying to make myself hate the PS3 version and think it "sucks" but I can't because the game is friggin awesome. Am I doing something wrong?
