This is why you don't call your game something that has to do with a long amount of time... like Duke Nukem Forever.
I never have to wait to get into a game. It is still going very strong.
It's still my most played game in my library.
And it shows how desperately dependent on COD Activision is... all their eggs are in one basket, which is not a good position for a game developer to be in. Eventually people will tire of yet another COD game, as other FPS games improve upon and beyond it.
Visually stunning, every pebble on the ground fully 3D rendered, the snow even reacts to his staff touching it at points. We've entered into an era of visual storytelling with these new graphics that is going to take things to a new level of cinematic storytelling. There really aren't many graphical limitations holding developers back from creating believable worlds anymore.
It points out the hurdles they have to clear to comply with German regulations.
Sales articles at this point, where you still cannot find a PS5 or XBSX, are kinda pointless. It's just "this is who managed to get more consoles shipped this month"...
I'm skeptical, but I welcome this with open arms at the same time.
Launching a Movie and TV division to make film adaptations of video games and actually wasting money putting HDMI input jacks on the console that could have gone towards more powerful hardware fast enough to keep up with PS4 (like getting rid of the EDRAM bottleneck and using faster RAM) are two totally different things. As is devoting the a large chunk of your console reveal conference to TV TV TV TV TV TV.
You can't even compare the two. You also can't compare PS5...
because Kojima himself keeps hinting at it.
A few things, this is just a realtime teaser to show the engine's capabilities, and based on the menu, more will come soon... but...
1. The trailer starts with the camera pointed at the ground. How does PT start?
2. They actually mention a "Playable Prologue", literally a P.T. (playable trailer)
if this actually is PT/SH, you can't over-hype that.
Some folks just live in denial, lol.
30fps with dropped frames.
Trolls always cry about "censorship" when someone actually bothers to do something about their antagonism and willfully misleading people with their rhetoric.
The name "Abandoned" does tie into Silent Hills' development.
It says it ran on PS4 Pro, but not the base model.
Couldn't agree more, Astro in VR was quite an experience. The gameplay was innovative, the music was amazing, it redefined what was possible with the genre. It did all the things I expected the first Mario VR game to be, before a proper Mario VR game exists.
They made the best VR platformer ever (which is also one of the best and most innovative platformers of any kind ever made), and the PS5 offering looks great... to see these people grow their team gets me very hyped to see what they can do with bigger budgets and more team members.
Technically, when looking at categories, Ida was the most intense hurricane to hit Louisiana in modern history. Katrina was only a Category 3 at landfall, with winds 35mph slower. The reason Katrina did more damage is because she hit Cat 5 in the gulf, with 160mph winds, a day before Ida did, and that sucked up a mound of water that washed right over the levees. When a hurricane weakens, it takes longer for the water to drop than it does for the wind, so Katrina made landfall with Cat 3 winds...
