Considering they are saying they won't ever be out of third place and that good games don't sell consoles, don't get too excited. Their attitude doesn't support innovation and a drive to push forward.

Now they are doing it again, by admitting they will never be anything but last place, that making good games isn't going to help that, and by relying on Gamepass to keep their brand afloat as it cannibalizes their market.

Case in point, this Mario Kart 64 emulation at 4K... doesn't look much better than the n64 game aside from the sharper polygon edges. The textures are still just as blurry as N64.

8K only means that the polygons themselves are rendered at that resolution, the textures will still be the same quality as on switch... you can render Mario 64 at 8K, but it'll still be a blurry mess texture-wise.

it's cheaper than any other headset that has its feature set... not to mention the exclusive features it has. No other headset has the eye tracking, foveated rendering, or HDR... and the only other cheaper headset that comes close feature-wise lacks 120hz refresh, has a lower resolution screen, no HDR, or none of the other above-mentioned exclusive features PSVR2 has... and it's only $150 cheaper.

It would still take developers actually coding their games to take advantage of the haptics, the eye tracking, the foveated rendering, the HDR screen, etc... which is unlikely unless there's a financial incentive for them to do so (like a PSVR2 exclusive version)... so I wouldn't count on it in the short-term.

while it is responsible for things like levels having to be kept a certain size/complexity in order for everything to fit into S' memory, things like FPS can easily scale.
