Honestly, its biggest mistake was releasing too soon, but such a small studio probably had to get some revenue flowing to keep these updates funded. 6 Years of programming to get it to this point isn't cheap. It would have been better if it had been funded by some big publisher so they could have launched it in this state, but perhaps nobody believed in them enough to front the bill for that long.

I just hope they keep growing it... I question how long they can keep do...

Could at least add a spoiler warning... I know it's been out for a while, but not all of us have had a chance to play it. I was kinda waiting on VR to do so.

they just dropped that new AI update that has been getting so much praise as well.. Sophie or whatever they called it.

apparently PSVR2 keeps frame rates high enough to where most do not.

At least now you've admitted your hypocrisy by attempting to point out mine, so my point is made.

I always chuckle when people get pissed off because someone got pissed off about depictions of racism... not only is it telling, but you're whining just as much as those you accuse right now, so put that dirty finger down. Don't like it? Don't read it.

This still stands as irrefutable proof that Series S IS holding back multiplatform games this generation. I'm ok with MS making bad business decisions, but when those affect the quality of the games I play on my console, then I take issue. For every developer that "puts in the extra time to make it work", there's more that just cut features instead. Extra time to get something working is extra money spent paying the ones doing that work... And the ones holding the purse stri...

yeah, driveclub was being rendered at 30fps, then upscaled to 60, which still really isn't enough for VR. You want 90-120fps... not to mention it was a pixelated mess, but it was still fun. Glad to finally have proper hardware for a good VR racer. A good wheel and one of those chairs that tilts to simulate G forces would be awesome.

It's also costing them games, as games are starting to go PS5 exclusive because they cannot get certain features to run on the Series S, and if you release it on Series X, MS requires you to also release it on Series S.

The 3D audio was surprisingly good on my TV speakers as well... other than lacking the bass from my sub, the 3D sound results weren't too far off from actual 5.1 surround. I'm really hyped for when they figure out how to get this tech to work with full surround systems to further enhance the effect.

It's interesting they are having to put extra work into getting the game to run smooth on Xbox Series consoles... being the architectures are so similar, one would think it would be pretty much the same... the only real big difference between the systems in favor of PS5 is the hard drive, and it's hard to believe that alone is responsible for the more solid framerate. I could see assets being streamed faster, so less pop-in and such, but framerates rely more on the GPU's ability t...

I'm thinking the same, firmware bugs. It would seem hardware errors wouldn't be fixed by some of these workarounds.

MK ditched its simplistic style in favor of a much more complex, street fighter type system (frame counting, etc all being utilized)... which I respect, it's awesome, but I just don't have enough time to get good at it anymore... it isn't like when I was a teenager and had all the free time in the world, lol. So, sadly, as much as I love MK, I find it frustrating to play these days, because so many kids with the time to get good at it wipe the floor with me. That said, that's ...

All the fanboys that were trying to say "Xbox Series S has a modern architecture, even though it's 2TF weaker than the Xbox One X, so no, it isn't holding back games this generation." just had their argument blown to bits.

"specifically, we’ve been unable to get split-screen co-op to work to the same standard on both Xbox Series X and S, which is a requirement for us to ship."

This is what I've been saying (to many, many ...

Hearing a lot of these "Best ever" comments related to PSVR2... many reviews call it the best overall VR headset, and now its games are being called the best ever VR experiences. That bodes well for it!

I agree, TikTok is brain rot, and a national security threat.

I don't see Ukraine getting pissed about War Thunder, we've been playing it for years...

Again, if they wanna ban it from Ukraine, cool, but don't tell other countries how to operate.

Outside their borders, they should focus on their own troubles. Inside their borders, I 100% back them asking this to be removed from sale in their country. If China invaded us, I would totally understand a ban on Tik Tok, for instance.

we already have holographic displays... though hologram isn't the right word to use, as those are technically 2D in nature and rely on optical illusions to imply depth... You cannot look at a hologram from the side, for instance. I'm not talking about displays that show a flat image that appears to exist in 3d space, but actual 3D images where you can walk around the object and look at it from different angles. These are called Volumetric Displays, instead of Holograms. True 3D displa...

Nobody knows what anything will be like in 10 years... kinda an obvious statement that doesn't mean much.

That said, based on current trends, we'll see more "games as a service", and the death of platform exclusivity. You'll still have individual platforms, and those platforms will likely have controllers and headsets and such that have custom capabilities when playing games designed for that platform, but you'll still get those games on other pla...
