As long as they get MW2 out in november, i couldn't care less what activision does.
Our site is far from a "blog". And half the stuff posted on n4g are rumors, so I don't see the problem? If you don't like them, don't read them.
I would think they'd probably charge closer to $100 a year, like maybe $70-80. Still WELL worth it. If they did do something like that though, I'm curious how they'd deal with third party stuff? Maybe just pay them a flat rate or something for hosting the content plus still giving them commissions on the sales by those who do not choose to do the monthly payment thing.
Bear in mind that is all speculation on the rumor though, not what is actually rumored.
LMFAO! This is too funny. +2 cool points for conan, he ripped on 2 of my most despised things in the world at the same time. palin and rrod.
optimizing a game for the hard drive does not require an install at all. it's still a shame that MS gimped the arcade so a very large number of their install base can't play games to their fullest potential without shelling out enough cash to make the price difference they paid for that arcade unit vs. getting an elite or a ps3 in favor of the latter by a very large margin. they are punishing people who buy the arcade by making them pay ridiculous prices to upgrade their consoles. if you boug...
by only outselling them by 100k consoles this year, and by not being able to get past that 8 million unit lead they had when ps3 launched? And by not being able to make a system that can run for more than a year without burning up? Sure... wiping em' all over the place.
FAKE. They didn't even spell Jak and Daxter right... "Jack and Dexter"
Also notice how only the unblurred items have the gradient red/black background, while the rest are one solid plain color. And GT5's is way off center.
Genesis and PS1 had some gems also, gotta show love where it's due.
it could, but we do all know this will boost sales. and considering that ps3 is keeping up with 360 pretty damn well (360 only beat PS3 by 100k sales so far this year), ps3 does stand to overtake 360.
or go on oprah flailing their arms around in front of a tv wearing jumpsuits.
you'll get just that...
well, our source who gave us this info also made a few vague hints at microsoft "having a 1.5 hour conference that they claim will make sony's 3 hours look like nothing, but this is still up in the air". The "still up in the air" nature of the rumor prevented us from reporting on it, so we'll just have to wait and see. they have something planned, but i don't think they know exactly what sony is up to just yet...
Understand that the PSP Go price cut might not be for what we've seen already. It could be a model with less internal memory (kinda useless anyway when you can buy 32GB memory sticks and such).
And PS3 slim comes at a price reduction to the ps3 line of products, so it can be called a price cut as well even though it isn't out yet.
look @ post 4.1
Or possibly something in relation to PS Cloud?
first of all, lloyd, we are hardly an unknown site. Our forum has over 30,000 members, most from our site, we've been around for many years... we're not the biggest site nor do we claim to be the most well known, but we do have a reputation to uphold. second, any rumor should be reported as such. any site that did not would be doing it's readers a disservice by leading them to believe something is true when it has a chance of being false. third, if i was going to make up some crap, i would pi...
with PSEye motion capture dance moves! :P
Well, certain information is just expected, like PS3 slim and the price cut. Some won't matter if it leaks early, like the PSP Go price cut. And one secret is still just that... assuming this is all true. I won't even give you the reliable source song and dance, all I'll say is wait about 2 weeks and we'll all know the outcome.
With the 70% cost reduction on PS3, I doubt much.
It's only the fault of those who turn rumor into expectation. Those who are unable to tell the difference between the two.
And think about it, if they go 3 hours without busting out some HUGE surprises, it's going to be a failure on their part anyway. That's a whole lot of our time to ask for.
