I feel bad for folks like you raven, if this is all they got to show. I'm really starting to have my doubts about kinect. Maybe they'll eventually give up the "you are the controller" pipe dream, and release a controller add on for it so it can actually trump move in every way. That's all they'd need. Lag free input, buttons, an analog stick, and full body tracking. But they're too hung up on trying to make their marketing strategy relevant.
If you had any room to talk, you wouldn't have resorted to personal attacks rather than engaging in a debate about why you disagree. I called this days ago when MS started announcing they were trying to rebrand xbox 360 as an entertainment platform instead of just a gaming console. Not a bad idea. I won't be buying a 360 for it (only a matter of time before PC and PS3 have something similar, and probably cheaper knowing how MS likes to price things), but for those who already own it, a damn good idea.
Not to mention the cross platform compatibility with PS3. 3DS won't do that with Wii (no wiimote, though certain games would work it's doubtful we'll see the support added), and won't be anywhere near powerful enough to do it with Cafe. You won't be transferring saves to your DS to take your Wii or Cafe games on the road with you. With only one analog stick, even a remote play like feature on 3DS would be gimped. NGP/Vita would be able to perfectly emulate the PS3 controll...

i'm in no way defending psn being brought down... my point is, just because it got brought down doesn't make it any less of an online service than live is. live has gone down numerous times, as has psn (remember the leap year bug?). neither service is perfect in that regard, and for all you know Microsoft could be the next to fall victim to an attack. They just haven't managed to piss off the wrong nerd yet.

if you're into casual party, dance, or fitness games, kinect is great. if you're a real gamer, kinect in it's current state sucks.
If you want low price, check into PSN. The card saying "your fun never ends" is hilarious... it never ends as long as you don't cancel your auto renew. Then it ends real quick.

funny how the tide turns. one company is embarrased, then the other screws up, then back to the other again... meanwhile nintendo laughs in their little corner. RROD's, YLOD's, PSN Hacks, E74, DRE's, scratched discs, overheating power supplies, Live going out for 2 weeks in 07, it's been a back and forth game.

An upgradeable console would be stupid. It's the fact that people don't have to bother with upgrades and such that give consoles their mass appeal. If they want an upgradeable console, they can buy any PC.
Also, Wii isn't exactly barely supported (80 million people disagree with that comment), even if it's third party core game support is weak. It has still made plenty of third party devs plenty of money, and nintendo even more. it's sales are just slowing...
