You're missing the point... I'm not saying pairing a crap CPU with a good GPU won't enable you to play any decent games, what I'm saying is that CPU will eventually hold the GPU back when operations are taking place that make the system CPU bound. If the system is waiting on the CPU to calculate AI, physics (GPU can help there sometimes, depending on the GPU), audio, and all the other game code, the GPU can't do a damn thing until the CPU finishes it's work. Same with ...
If you owned so many valve games, you'd know that they've never released a game on 360 that used ANY AA before. L4D and the orange box ran at 1280x720 (native) with no AA.
And, look at the chair in that first pic, then try to tell me the 360 version has better AA.
And had you bought the PS3 version, you could enjoy it in the living room while still gaming at 550838053583p on your PC for free!
The orange box ran at 1280x720 with no AA on 360, as did L4D. Maybe they decided to go for a sub HD res to get a little AA in there.
I don't see anywhere in that comment where it was said that kon's merry band of muppets were any worse than ps3 anything. quit putting words in people's mouths just so you can go off on some self righteous rant.
the lighting isn't better, it's the same really, it's just that the gamma levels are higher on ps3 making the image appear brighter.
are you just pulling these numbers out of your ass?
System bandwidth:
Xbox360: 22.4 GB/s
PS3: 48 GB/s
(Xbox 360 does have 256GB/S bandwidth for it's EDRAM, but that is only between the EDRAM (360's frame buffer) and the GPU itself, and has no effect on overall system bandwidth, which is less than half that of PS3's)
Also, 360's video RAM and it's system RAM all share the same 512MB's, so when the video ...
I'd like to see Uncharted 3 running in 3D (not SD 3D either, HD) on 360's 10mb frame buffer. Good luck with that. As for the multiplats, as you said, it's ease of development, nothing to do with raw power. Developers simply aren't willing to pay the extra cost associated with taking more time to develop an equal PS3 version, so corners are cut. Just like corners are cut when it comes to fitting content onto Xbox 360's DVDs.
Also, anyone who knows anything ...
did it score a super fabulous? :P
Look at PS3... if you used it's GPU as a metric for determining overall power, everyone would be thinking that 360 was the more powerful system. However, we soon realize that is not the case, especially with exclusive titles. Reason being, PS3's architecture (bandwidth, separate memory pools not having to share that bandwidth with each other, etc.), and Cell's ability to lend a hand to RSX's rendering, give it advantages over what Xbox 360 can do.
When Gears of War begins breaking one sales record after another, then Epic can open their mouths. Last time I checked, the COD franchise outsold Gears by a very healthy margin.
GPU =/= raw overall power. The article headline needs to be reworded. You can have the latest GPU on the market in there, but if you bundle it with a single core 2GHZ CPU and 64MB of RAM, PS3/360 will run circles around it.
If those drugs were only legal and regulated, those dealers wouldn't have a black market to thrive in because their prices wouldn't be able to compete with the legal ones. It would be too dangerous to try to sell on the black market for a tiny fraction of the profit they used to be able to make when the drugs were illegal and they got to decide how much those drugs would cost. So, they'd all go out of business.
That, and those dealers probably aren't carding ...
This probably has less to do with the hackers than it has to do with Sony integrating steam directly into PS3's firmware. A sign of things to come.
The fact that you're willing to dig out your laptop battery to see some animated nudity is pretty sad... Especially animated nudity of a corpse.
To Sony that doesn't matter, they still sold 8 million moves. To the developers though, different story.
Let's not forget our economy is in worse shape since the ps2 days. Wii couldn't even hit 100 million in that time.
I was initially excited for this console, but if those specs are true, count me out. Other than the GPU, it's weaker than the competition that has been on the market for 5 years now. That's no way to compete.
I won't play warhawk without sixaxis. the analog is nowhere near as sensitive as tilting for steering/flying.
U2 established uncharted has a AAA hit franchise, so it's follow up will definitely have better sales based on the hype 2 generated alone.
