He has so many memes made of him that they even have a name... "Kazification". GAF and E-mpire forums always erupt with them just before press events. Many are downright hilarious. Some are even a bit disturbing, lol.

"Now this rumor from NeoGAF saying that MS is paying 3rd party pubs to not show their games on PS4 at E3 has me really disturbed. I'm taking it as it is (a rumor), but if it turns out to be true, that would be another huge strike against the XBOX One. "
I'm a gaming journalist and have been for many years. I've attended press events where Microsoft paid to have their logos plastered all over the lobby, even on the napkins, and only Xbox 360 consoles were...
This is what I've felt I'm seeing every day leading up to the E3 press conference...
Did it really take a developer to come out and say it before people would believe it? I guess some people can't tell the difference between 68gbps and 176gbps. Or 18CU's vs. 12.
Part of me says "who gives a crap if this kid wants an Xbone, it's their choice". The other part says "#@!% this tool, they are telling game manufacturers that it is OK to remove our right to play the games we bought as we see fit. They are contributing to the death of an industry."
Sony has already confirmed a net connection is not required, and also has said the Ps4 will play used games. The only way to do used game DRM is for your console to upload a code identifying that specific copy of the game to Sony's servers. The PS4 will have no way of telling if the disc you put into it has ever been played before without requiring you to connect to the internet to verify.
Sony has said they'll allow publishers to do as they please regarding DRM, but...
Yeah, that was MS seeing Sony get all that positive press by telling the gamers they were listening to their concerns about DRM, and jumping in at the last minute to say "Me too!" with their fingers crossed behind their back.
The exclusives are amazing, however if people bought the console anyway it sends a message that such activity is acceptable behavior, and it will only perpetuate it.
No. Not at all. This is coming from someone who has supported PlayStation since 1995. Thankfully Sony already confirmed that this won't be happening.
So your solution is for troops to have to share a console that is at a USO services center (where they are available)? Seriously?
There are hundreds of thousands of deployed troops around the world. Expecting all them to share consoles (where there is one available) is a bit much. That still leaves a lot of gamer troops out.
There are a lot of groups affected by this move. Microsoft has severely limited their target audience with this move, and I hope to see them eventually give the policy up. I won't support them with requirements like that, as it sends a message that doing that sort of thing is acceptable.
I understand that video game sales have taken a hit to used game stores and piracy has harmed the industry. I have nothing against a publisher wanting to charge for an online pass or something like that, as those servers aren't free to maintain. However, blocking millions of people from even playing your console just to try to thwart used game sales and piracy is ridiculous.
@majie, you do make a good point about used games not taxing the servers.
People are saying they'd be shocked if PS4 didn't have very similar or the same policies, after Sony has repeatedly said it will not require a connection at all and won't restrict used games unless the publisher decides to do it. MS is doing it at the system level, limiting the number of times you can loan a game to a friend (and requiring that friend to have been on your XBL friends list for at least one month) and requiring a constant connection at least once per day.

@Darth
And by doing so you are sending a clear message to companies like Microsoft that it is ok for them to restrict us from using software we purchased how we want and that it is ok to require a camera to be connected and listening/watching any time the unit is powered on. By doing so you encourage other companies to follow suit. By doing so you therefore harm the industry as a whole.
"These attributes, along with endorsements of sponsors like Microsoft and BMW, led Grant to reconsider Bankoff's offer."
From the Polygon site's Wiki. MS also gave polygon $750,000 to produce a documentary about the website. They have been in bed with MS for a good while.
@loulou
They already have one for PS3, however games that require a touch pad wouldn't work on XB1's controller.
"Instead of explaining themselves and get bad press, they wont explain themselves and get less bad press."
It worked for them last time, with the MS faithful telling all the doubters "Wait for E3!". Next it'll be "We have (X amount of time) before launch. Wait for launch!".
Yes, but 4 of those are geared for general purpose use so they can aid the CPU. However, that does not mean they cannot be used for rendering as well.
It's good to see a little humility, admitting a mistake is the first step to fixing it. However, some of the things they already have been very clear about still disturb me.
Typical Keighley Tweet. From one year ago:
"Today we filmed a huge top secret game reveal for our E3 coverage. Can’t wait to share it with you – no one will see this one coming,” "
