Sounds like they've gone into production, and went to their manufacturing plant with a blank check that read "MORE!!!! NOW!!!!".
Sony knows this thing is going to sell out. I think the earlier they can get it out, the better. Let that launch rush hit hard and keep it going straight through the holidays. Their assembly lines will be running on overdrive.
Here we go... Next press conference:

Microsoft, you're drunk. Go home.
Xbot mentality will tell you that you can remove several GB's of ram from your system, throttle it's bandwidth down to more than twice as slow, and then put in a GPU with 384 fewer shader cores, and you will only get a difference in performance that only exists "on paper".
I don't think I've ever seen such a delusional bunch in my life. I guess it makes sense, since very few of these people actually know what the hell they are talking about. They jus...
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Ben Franklin
Welcome to the American police state.
I would expect similar performance out of PS4 than what you get out of your GPU. Mainly due to not having OS overhead (PS4's OS runs on a small chunk of RAM and even has it's own ARM sub-CPU so the main system CPU doesn't have to process any OS commands at all), the developers are able to have much finer control over the hardware rather than having to work with restrictive APUs, and your PC GPU lacks a few advantages such as being able to issue 64 compute commands at once or havin...

You didn't even read the article, which proves you are just talking out of your ass. If you were a real journalist, you would know that keeping your readers engaged and interested is a very big part of it. Presenting them with a 5 page wall of text is not going to keep them reading, and many important details will get lost in the mix. By breaking the story down into individual elements, it allows the journalist to elaborate in much more detail about what was said ins...
Didn't you learn from last gen? There is no such thing as a third party exclusive unless it is published by a first party, and even then it's still not a definite. This is why MS screwed up by betting the farm on third parties.
B-but... teh magical cloudz are only possible on Xbone!
Games are the most important thing in the end, however. Games are like a painting. The developer is the artist, the console is the canvas/color palette. You can give an artist 2 crayons, and they can still draw you a beautiful picture. Give them a full palette of high quality paint and a nice large canvas, however, and you'll get beautiful pictures much more frequently.
@enemy, MS has 8gb too, it's just that 3gb are reserved for OS. Sony has 7gb available for games, giving their games 2gb more (faster) RAM to work with.
Microsoft's ESRAM has 102gbps bandwidth. The main DDR has 68gbps. Even in the rare occasion where they can be combined, they still fall short of the PS4's 176gbps. That's not counting the additional compute units, ROPs, etc. in the GPU. That's why they're pulling a "Nintendo" now (It's all about the games! Graphics don't matter!).
Hate to break it to you MS, but with 30 exclusives in development just from SCEWWS first party studios, you...
This dude doesn't specify anywhere on his page that these images are posted on his site are copyrighted. Only when you go to where he posted them on his flikr account do you see that it has a copyright on it. While ND should have contacted him about it, he should be more specific when posting his work online by watermarking his work or at least specifying when he posts the image that he expects to be compensated for the use of it. The only thing he specifies on his page about the image is...
Michael Hastings was murdered by Ubisoft too. Bradley Manning also works for Ubi.
I wish they'd make a new streets of rage. I think it'd make a nice downloadable title.
Here's one showing how laggy Xbone's currently is. It was so laggy the girl actually had to make a comment about "we still have 7 months".

Ahem... Sony showed 4 exclusives before E3, One more at E3, and announced 30 of them with 12 being new IP.
Microsoft didn't show much of anything other than TV shows and one game/TV show hybrid at their reveal, and only had a couple exclusives to talk about at E3. They're both pretty much on even ground as far as what has actually been shown and what is exclusive.
As such, now is the time where we do have to wait for both to show what else they have...
30 titles in development by Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios does not equal "indie". That's first party, about as un-indie as you can get.
Edit: I can't believe there are actually people dumb enough to disagree with that. The word "indie" means INDEPENDENT. As in, not owned by another publisher. SCEWWS is a publisher, so if SCEWWS is developing 30 games, none of them can, by definition, be INDIE games.
Not a bad idea, but it would depend on exactly what kind of costs that they are facing by upgrading their network infrastructure. They already spent $380 million buying Gaikai and all of their server centers and cloud gaming patents (That's 7.6 million 1-year PS+ subscribers needed just to pay for that alone.). They also are upgrading PSN with other features as well, so I would imagine that there is a significant investment going on with PSN right now.
I'm just not s...
Shuhei Yoshida did post "I say Oculus, you say ____?" on his twitter. A few posts later one of the Oculus guys responded "Would you like a demo?" to which Shu replied that he'd love to.
In other words, Sony and Oculus are talking.
