Someone go check on Obscure... he's probably taking this one pretty hard.
If you watch the gears reveal trailer, it mentions nothing whatsoever of platform exclusivity at the end.
Gotta love how this dude is trying to say "Sony abandoned PS5" when there is no such thing as an exclusive game on his beloved platform anymore.
It didn't take a psychic to see that Microsoft had to recoup almost 100 billion dollars somehow, and that their deep pockets didn't mean their shareholders would sit on the sidelines doing nothing while they took decades to earn it back.
I'm buying 2 copies of this game, one for me, and one for my nephews. I hope the success from this one gives them the thumbs up to make ABRM 2 for PSVR2, though, as Astrobot in VR is SO much better than on a flat screen. Playing Astrobot on PS5, while it was amazing, just felt like it was missing something... that sense of being immersed in the world, being able to directly interact with it, having the level take place all around you (so that at times you're looking up and around you ...
In the same vein, it prevents the "get outraged over anything inclusive" mouth breathers from crying "woke!" on games just because they broke away from "yet another gruff white male protagonist" or "female lead that wears nothing, has big boobs, and gives me a boner".
It wasn't Ukraine, it was the leader of Chechnya, who is fighting on the side of the Russians.
I'm still on a Ryzen 1800x and see no need to upgrade anytime soon, I still don't max it out unless I'm rendering in Cinema 4D, and I do more of that on my GPU these days anyway unless I'm rendering something that GPUs can't simulate like caustics.
PS4 Pro was far more "unnecessary" by that logic, as all it did was enable upscaled checkerboard 4K. This does that as well, but up to 8K and with better fidelity using AI, upscales framerates too using AI (without the need for developers to release patches for the games), and has 4 times better raytracing performance along with a faster CPU and RAM. It's more of an improvement over PS5 vs. what PS4 Pro was to PS4 in every way.
I like Rebirth more than the orignial.
Didn't Sony just report that PS5 sales were over 61 million?
Returnal is fantastic. Definitely can't wait for more from them.
I don't think it's a bad game, I just think it's the same game I was playing on my PS3, but for $70, a shiny new coat of paint, and riddled with microtransactions. After MW, I was good with it, I don't need a yearly refresh like it's Madden or something. We've been to the past, we've been to the present, we've been to the future, you can't really keep kicking that dead horse over, and over, and over without it getting stale.
Give me an ar...
You're moving the goalposts. You said that Sony would stop reporting hardware numbers like MS did, and instead would only report MAU, when Sony is still very much reporting both.
At the rate that Xbox is earning money, it's going to take a LOT longer than 10 years to "make that money back".
Sony or Nintendo do not need to put ads in anything... they've had their respective online services for 15+ years now, and they haven't don...
I love that Sony is seeing these things FLY off the shelves. That bodes very well for the future of gaming on PlayStation. More investment in single player experiences, more investment in ASTRO BOT!
Upper range PC GPUs cost triple the price, not counting the rest of the PC.
He should have done it in Dreams though, the limitations of having done it in LBP are obvious.
I think they were going for some sort of "timed exclusivity" approach, but when they didn't have hardly any first party games planned, that wasn't the best idea. Jim Ryan really screwed up the first half of this generation.
Kyle is definitely punching and kicking drywall and spitting a yellowish orange spray of mountain dew and half-chewed Doritos all over the place right now. Controller parts are flying every where while his mom is yelling "What's wrong, honey?" up the stairs.
