you picked one example from a launch title and are now copy/pasting this post on any PSN article you can find... you are literally spewing FUD based on a tweet from Sony from before the game even released, ignoring that once it finally did release, there were no complaints about its online connection quality, and still aren't.
PSN's issues have been with uptime and download speeds (especially in europe), not in-game connection quality. The download speed issue was re...
Gotta love the fact that most of those requests aren't even PSN related, like organizing the library which is a firmware issue, as is the notifications when people come online. The "Other bug fixes" was the part that cracked me up the most. When you can't even specify what it is you are complaining about, it's time to STFU.
When a game (like this or No Man's Sky) is so radically different in concept that it leaves people scratching their heads, it doesn't necessarily mean it will be good, but it does mean that the people who make those games are being given the freedom by the people who make those game systems to take chances and do something completely new, rather than just sticking to tried and true genres. This is one area Sony has always excelled at, finding the games that break barriers that are on ...
Sony has been improving PSN by leaps and bounds lately... especially when it comes to bandwidth. I've always maxed out my 2.5MBPS connection on PSN, but I've had friends who could download around 10MBPS (megabytes, not bits) who said that PSN was never letting them download at capacity. Now I'm hearing that has changed over the past few days, and Sony has been making good strides towards improving bandwidth, especially in Europe.
As for this campaign, nothing more...
pope, first of all, if one console has 12 million more sold than the other, in order for a company like Ubi to make an exclusivity deal, Microsoft would have to pay Ubi an amount of money that would offset the losses of shrinking their install base by 12 million. MS has a lot of money to throw around, Xbox as a division does not. Why? The Xbox division has never once turned a profit (they still sit a few billion in the red as we speak, and have been there since the first Xbox), and with a tra...
It isn't hard, I've done far more difficult things with my PC. However, it was something I did have to spend a good bit of time diagnosing and figuring out the solution to. As for having to update games on consoles, yes, that is true, but you miss the point. The entire process is automated. You start the game, the update applies, installs itself, and you're done. No google searches, no trial and error fixes, just one step.
That, along with cost, size, and exclus...
Price point, ease of use, exclusive software, they'll do just fine.
Just got a GTX 970. Figured I'd give the UE4 demo a spin to break it in. Downloaded it... won't install. Something with DirectX needs to be updated. A few google searches later, I tried updating. Still didn't work. A few more google searches later, still nothing.
Took me forever to solve a simple issue due to bad instructions leading me on wild goose chases...

^which is a fantastic game.
Destiny is also a game designed to run on last gen systems, with resolution being the only major difference between that and their current gen counterparts. Not exactly a major accomplishment to get more pixels per frame out of it with that considered.
They recently updated the API tools to make AF easier to implement, and it's likely this game was so far along in development by the time they released that they didn't bother updating it... as recently far better looking games than this have had 16xAF on PS4.
Heavenly Sword, Hellblade, what's next, Limbo Lance? Purgatory Pike?
Nothing here... been a member since day 1.
Well, Uncharted 3's story took a nose dive compared to the first 2 in my opinion, so maybe a change would be a good thing.
@Life
Unless that game involves you strapping into the VR world and your 4 kids grabbing controllers and trying their best to mess you up.
Think of a game like Evolve, the 4 players on the screen could be the humans, the VR person the beast.
There are all kinds of cool multiplayer experiences you could craft using that combo... and it would be couch multiplayer, not internet, which is honestly something gaming needs more of these days anywa...
It's over 30% difference in pixel count per frame, not exactly small. But I do agree that compressing that res to a 2.5 mbps video does crap all over the quality.
Chromatic abberation simulates color distortion by the camera's lens for a film-like look.
In this day and age, we can't even act surprised about a game launching broken... unfortunately. The entire industry needs to be put into "I'll wait for GOTY edition" mode.
PSN usually maxes out my download speed (not that 28mbps is much to brag about). It seems to be worse in some areas than others from what I can tell. Either way, no complaints out of me so far.
@jason, sounds like an issue that is on your end, or maybe an issue local to your area.
Talk about the 384 extra gpu cores (1152 vs. 768) ps4 has, and it's a "negligable difference", talk about one extra cpu core on XO, it rockets to the top of n4g.
