I can hear your bubbles popping.
Won't happen. They don't need Microsoft.
It doesn't require a million lines of code to pull off... IF they wanted to support it, it would have already been supported.
After reading the texts, the size of the game data is too big to fit into one game, so they're splitting it up. They did say that new content is being added as well, so perhaps they're expanding the FF7 universe and storyline to the point where multiple games will be necessary.
I'm not going to hate on this until I learn more about it, they haven't disappointed me so far.

simple economics would dictate that if they made a game that is 2-3 times larger/longer than the average RPG, the cost would rise in step with it. So, in order to justify the additional cost risk, they would want to charge you for the average amount of gameplay you'd get in a $60 title, and split it into multiple titles rather than trying to cram all the content into one game and hope that it breaks every sales record in video game history to pay for itself.
Having faith...
I wouldn't mind it if:
1. Each part represented a game in the FF7 universe.
2. New parts were added as future releases.
3. If they do split the game into chunks, they add enough new content to further flesh out the story that it justifies the cost of the game, or they sell each chunk for cheap.

for all you know it could mean sequels to follow this game that are set in the FF7 universe... but you'd rather just jump to conclusions.
I'd say they will be releasing multiple games all within the FF universe, with this remake of the original FF being the base game that establishes the storyline (and is still a remake of the entire first game), with subsequent games being remakes of other FF7 games or even new games entirely that take place in the FF7 universe.
Some of you need to lighten up. Jumping to the worst conclusion automatically and bashing the company for what could very well be a misunderstandi...
Couldn't call it that... Konami owns Silent Hill
@choujij, compare voice quality in the street fighter games or mortal kombat games for Genesis and SNES, you'll see SNES wins by a landslide. This was true in just about all games. SNES' voice samples (or any actual sound clips, not MIDI music generated by the sound chip) are always cleaner. The music had a softer, cleaner touch to it as well. Genesis was always harsh, twangy, and lacking bass.
Yes. It will also stream your PS4 games to another TV in the house, though not at 1080p.
It was a term used to describe the fact that, while the Genesis was weaker graphically than SNES in every way (sound too), its CPU was a good bit faster. This led to less slowdown in games that had heavy action. It wasn't related to graphics.

Fire in the hands, you get burned. Fire behind your entertainment center, your entire house and possibly your entire family get burned.
Hate to break it to you, but unless you are still using the stock AA batteries, your Xbox controller is just as likely to catch on fire.
By that logic, you should stop using your cell phone, since it too is powered by a lithium-ion battery and can catch on fire. Your laptop too.
Any lithium battery powered device, including the cell phone in your pocket, can do this.
Yes, PlayStation is on fire. Yes, this is awesome news. However, before you start bashing other consoles, you need to consider that Kojima is independent, and while it's likely he'll stay aligned with Sony, he could decide to make his next game on Xbox as well if he wanted to. Since he's independent, he'll be eyeing profits, not console allegiance.
