*brings 32mb of its memory close to the performance of ps4's gddr5.
XO's CPU clock is a negligible amount higher than PS4's, whereas PS4's GPU is quite a good bit ahead of XO's. Genesis' CPU was considerably faster than SNES', to the point that certain games on SNES would experience "Slowdown" as the FPS dropped to a crawl, and the genesis versions would buzz right along. Sonic wouldn't have been possible on SNES due to the speeds. There aren't any games on XO that wouldn't be possible on PS4 due to a difference i...
@darth, the genesis had a much faster processor than SNES, even though SNES had more colors on screen and better sound (in addition to mode 7 scaling/rotation), so the comparisons aren't as direct.
Oh, come on... Everyone knew Quan Chi was a fairy.
Lackluster exclusives... Did I seriously hear a PC guy try to say consoles lack the exclusives? Go look up the highest reviewed exclusive games of all time. How many of those are on PC?
Also, why do you need headroom for future proofing when you only paid $400 for the box to begin with? You do realize "future proofing" for PC means a $400-1000 GPU alone, and then you'll probably want to upgrade that CPU and RAM while you're at it.
Cost. E...
The difference between The Order's 1920x800 vs. 900p would not only be more pixels actually being rendered (900p is 1,440,000 pixels, The Order renders 1,536,000 pixels per frame), but because it letterboxes the image, there is no scaling taking place. The image still displays pixel for pixel at 1080p pixel density, and so no artifacts that can be introduced in the scaling process are there, resulting in a purer image... just with black bars at the top and bottom.
7 discs, won't install if your username contains certain characters, and only works right on some video cards. Glad I grabbed the "plug and play" version.
kinda. They've reduced the footprint the operating system takes up in RAM.
Most pirates are also likely to already have a very fast connection.
I agree with you, I even downloaded my PS4 copy. That's my point, why bother with DVD at all, just offer BD and online. That way you don't have to deal with the customer service calls from users who lost or scratched a disc and think you owe them a replacement.
Not insecure at all. just not a blind fanboy who can't dare say anything negative about a PC. 7 discs sucks no matter how you cut it. You can't polish a turd, so stop trying.
Gonna suck when one of those 7 discs comes up missing and your OS has to be re-installed.
Disagrees: "No way, it'll be F'in awesome when I can't install my game because my kid brother got into my stuff and lost (or scratched, since DVDs lack the scratch resistant coating blu-ray discs have) a disc."
Exactly. PCs be laggin' behind the times. Like a v12 engine with a 5 gallon gas tank. If you have a 60gb game, you put it on blu-ray and make those without a bd drive download it or get with the times. My PC has 2 BD drives in it (a reader and a burner). They're only like $60-80 for a burner, readers are even cheaper.
7 discs. The PC version of the game comes on 7 discs. Is this the 80s?
and people say Morpheus will cost a fortune... HoloLens is on track to make you have to mortgage your house to buy it.
HoloLens has some excellent gaming capabilities as well, assuming it works as well as they claim it does when actually in the wild and not just some well controlled demo room. However, just as you can do many things with HoloLens that you can't do with VR when it comes to games, the same applies to the other way around. In fact, if either was more limiting than the other, it would be HoloLens.
Also, it's quite likely that HoloLens will cost a good bit more, since it ...
In other news, Shuhei Yoshida seen walking towards Kojima's house with 2 suitcases full of cash.
Quite the opposite really, it just shows the majority are ignorant to reality.
If you're running a game PS2 could have handled, bragging about resolution and framerates is worthless.
So, you're suggesting that Disney and Lucasfilm sided with a competitor in the film industry over someone who poses no threat to their films?
