They didn’t have downloads initially. I tried a couple of times through some promos and free trials, and it was streaming only at 720p as I recall.
It will be interesting to see what they do with it on the PS5. Whether they copy the Xbox model of allowing both streaming and downloading and possibly adding their launch games on the service concurrently. Either way, I do believe they will continue to expand and push it as the digital only apocalypse draws closer
Personally I’d like to see;
1. BotW 2 release date
2. Literally anything on Metroid Prime 4
3. Either a new IP or reprising an old IP like a Kid Icarus, or Star Tropics
4. N64 and or GC games either to buy or on the online service
5. Another cool port like The Witcher, something unexpected.
@the 10th Rider,
I know!!! Merry Christmas to me lol.
They took the analog stick from the N64 idea and made it sooo much better IMO. The DS1 and DS2 were the perfect weight, size, and layout at least for me. Though I thought the 360 controller is right up there, I’d still give it to the DS1/DS2
Crystalis is one of my all time favs.
This was a two street of a bad deal. Sony wanted complete control over the issuing of game rights/publishing and Nintendo rather than negotiating with Sony, cut a deal in secret with Philips.
But, with that rather tedious he said she said piece of history, we got one of all time favorite consoles in the PS1 and Nintendo got pushed to be experimental and sometimes very innovative. For that we all definitely won.
Excellent... I would enjoy it if they would announce some editions to the SNES/NES lineup as that’s gone cold for the past two months.
That’s pretty awesome good for them... now Nintendo please give us at least a hint of what’s going on for 2020... because with the new consoles coming out I’d like to figure out how much a budget I’m going to over blow next year.
I think what he’s saying is VR isn’t technically in demand at the moment as it’s more of a luxury than a necessity. However I’m disappointed that Microsoft doesn’t try and promote the medium further as competition drives innovation and VR needs to continue to evolve. Personally I love VR... but I can’t play it for longer than 30-45 minutes at a time as either the headset itself gives me a headache or the strain of some the games and movements do. So I think it still needs a lot of technical ...
They absolutely could, and almost did. Now I don’t ever want it to happen, but any company especially if ever in a negative financial position, can be bought. And I do not believe Disney would ever be above a hostile takeover.
They only turned it down due to direction they thought Microsoft would take the brand. Any business can be bought (over taken over). If you would have told me a single company would own Fox, Marvel, and LucasStudios 10yrs ago, I’d probably say there’s no way... but yet here we are.
I’m fairly shocked Disney hasn’t bought Nintendo yet. I mean they basically own every other pop culture IP from my childhood...
Well from a technical standpoint no one “owns” their physical games... just the individual license in which to play them to the specific console. At least I believe that’s the international IP law.
If they wanted to make a move that would best play to their western audience and bring in “some” eastern gamers all while making one of the biggest positive PR moves would be to buy Konami or at least their IPs. Because let’s face it, their IPs appeal to both audiences and need saving from the doldrums that is Konami.
Ah crap... well I guess I’ll renew another month or two
I feel like their top two should never be remade but maybe remastered. Those two are pinnacles of a gen. Silent Hill unfortunately I don’t see ever being remade, and Dino Crisis should be a given.
I’d like to see these either remade or remastered:
Einhander
FF Tactics
Tomba
Intelligent Qube
Mega Man 8
Um Bioshock completely disregards this theory.
-Less Shrines more dungeons
-minimize the weapon break system
-return of an overworked theme or theme(s)
-more villages/towns to discover
Yep only a little over year ago it started 9/2018... nearly 4 years after it was launched...
