I think it’s over designed but I still like it. And definitely second your question on is it quiet.
Meh I think Killzone has run its course. They struck gold with HZD, let them do maybe a new FPS all together.
Thank god for being able to grow up, and finding a great job in order to never have to choose.
No, at least not unless the PS5 gets delayed
I don’t know, there were a lot of rumors Sony was unhappy with Death Stranding sales numbers considering how quickly it flat lined after launch. Will Kojima make more games, more than likely if he doesn’t go into filmmaking full time. But I’d bet if done with Sony, they will probably have more overnight on his future projects.
I opened up the casing, cleaned the fan and the area around the fan, but I didn’t want to completely open it up and void any possibility of trade in, as I have gone back and forth on the idea of just trading it in for one of the newer quieter, PS4 pros.
Actually air compressors can do more harm than good. It can push dust further into the console. I don’t want to open the system all the way up as to void any warranty or trade in possibilities. So am stuck between getting one of the newer PS4 pros that are quieter, or just waiting it out until the PS5
I’m for one am hopeful the PS5 is BC at least with the PS4... I’m tired of having to play games with headphones just to drown out the sound of the PS4 pro fan. I want to be able to play some PS4 games I have in my backlog on a nice quiet PS5
In theory, this about the time in a consoles lifecycle where devs are typically able to start maxing out power/performance. While I wouldn’t expect anything to blow anyone away, I just hope the ability to max out power can keep bringing over some 3rd party love... and make Metroid 4 shine :)
Yeah I personally think Dreams has been marketed poorly. I get it may not be for everyone, but it’s amazing the stuff you can do and that it’s fairly easy to get the point you could create your own high quality stuff. I hope Sony gives it’s a second life on the PS5 because it’s an amazing idea/game.
I mean it’s given we’re getting another Spider-Man, GoW, HZD. Probably Days Gone. I’d like to see a new Resistance and or a Dreams update adding PS5 elements. Other than that, I hope they do some new cool IPs, I’m hoping Sony finally lets ND develop a new IP. I’m kinda of good on sequels, prequels, and remakes.
In reading some things about the CPU and it’s relation to the upcoming UE5 engine, I believe what the developer was trying to go for is how much the robust CPUs of both consoles will allow for more intensive elements (such as lighting) to help showcase next gen graphics. The faster SSD drives will probably be more consumer/user friendly where as the CPU will benefit developers more. Particularly when comparing them to the current gen consoles.
Don’t hate me, but I am looking forward to this far more than LoU2. This just looks amazing.
This article is specifically about the UE5 tech demo. New games are just that, new games, regardless of whether you care about them or not, just as TLoU2 is needed to be celebrated/hyped because it is a new “game,” not an engine we won’t see fully utilized for a few years.
Soooo we’re celebrating a tech demo that won’t have anything that looks this good using this engine for years... but are down playing actual games... neat.
SOOO MANY TRIANGLES!! I mean it looks good... but it doesn’t jump out at me as a huge jump. Also not to mention nothing is going to look like this (at least on this engine) for a couple of years. The backgrounds look great with no pop-ins. I can’t wait to see the newer/advanced physics, draw distance, and hopefully more complex AI.
This is dumb. Just about everyone out there has told us to lower expectations when it comes to graphic fidelity for next gen particularly when the major improvements are for speed. Secondly I can’t even remember a launch title for either of those two consoles for the past gens that would have wowed me. Both will have great games, and the best looking games will come much later on as they usually do.
Wasn’t Cyberpunks original release date in April? And yes they could very well delay it again, but so far they are holding strong on that September date
Man that sucks, especially for such a tense story driven game. Whoever the leaker is, is going to be in a world of hurt (legally/financially).
I do question though why this game is having such a hard time finding a release date, to which I’m assuming is due to manufacturing/releasing logistical issues, when a game like Cyberpunk is still releasing in September and undoubtedly is facing the same issues.
While I like the design (it’s grown on me) I just saw pic of how big it is compared to other consoles including the Xbox Series X... and it’s biiiig. I’m going to have rearrange things in order to fit it into my entertainment space. https://preview.redd.it/m68...
