Ugh, both consoles launching at possibly $500 (Or above) in this horrid economy... with possible limited supplies... eBay scalpers are going to have field day.
It does look pretty dang good.
I agree with some of those selections. I think Drakes story is done and I really like for Naughty Dog to do a new IP (long rumored space IP). I don’t see Sony or Kojima pursing another Death Stranding game, at least anytime soon. That being said, I’d be down with another Infamous and I think there’s still a lot more to the Killzone universe they can explore and make a compelling game. I’m sure we’ll get another Horizon (can’t freaking wait), GoW, Spider-Man, Days Gone, and probably another Gh...
Interesting, I did not know that. Haven’t been over there in a few long time. Well then it maybe would make sense for them to keep those IPs if they plan to keep increasing that part of product line.
True and they’ve had some decent/ok success at that at least in the entertainment industry with the Castlevania Netflix series and the Silent Hill films. But do those IPs say on Pachinko machines make them more attractive to potential users? I’d be interested to see.
I hope they release a set akin to the new Oculus set that does tracking via the headset, and a controller like the Index ones. I don’t think we’ll get a wireless headset yet, but room tracking and better controller would be awesome.
If Sony is developing it and paying for (marketing, production, etc), then it’s more probable. Personally if it’s just a timed exclusive where Sony is pitching in for the marketing and production but not necessarily the development, my enthusiasm for Konami developed (anything) is not exactly sky high.
They still make (a lot) of money through digital/mobile gaming, it’s actually their highest performing sector (Yu-Gi-Oh, mobile baseball, and, Pro winning soccer). I’m just curious about what they want/plan to do with multimillion dollar IPs in Metal Gear, Castlevania, and Silent Hill. Personally I’d like a 2-d Castlevania at some point again.
It’s not that it’s impossible, it just unlikely. Though, at this point I do wonder why Konami is even holding on to those IPs, unless they plan to just occasionally dip into the video game market every now and then, or go into mobile. You would think they could make a decent amount bidding out those IPs to any major console developer or god forbid an EA or Activision publisher.
No. If Konami was willing to spend a massive amount to make this game (even with Sonys help) they would have been creating more/other content. Now, Sony could maybe get the rights to the IP and do it themselves, but I don’t believe Konami would have any real part of it. Besides, would anyone really get excited about a Konami developed game at the is point?
While BC is nice, I’m more excited about the upgrades to existing games the Xbox will have like with Cyberpunk. I know they’ll have a form of that but I do it’s comparable with essentially receiving a full free next gen upgrade.
I do hope the back trigger buttons are less sensitive... can’t tell you how many times you set down the DS4 and the next thing you know its skipping you though half of what you were watching on Netflix/movie
Actually looking at the side by side of the white Xbox one controllers, they do look pretty similar. But the side view of the controller looks waaay more like the DS4
Edit* I like* the d-pad
Uhhh...ahhhh.... hmmmm, wide range of emotions. I think the d-pad... not sure about the rest
I think both would be better suited to launch in spring/early summer of 2021.
Well for one, the economy situation is looking a bit dire at the moment. Launching $500 (or more) consoles in that economic environment might not make much sense. Plus, many still predict the coronavirus will make it’s way back this winter.
Well yeah, but you can still order physical games for the PS4 or Xbox. I mean I still have orders for Doom, FFVII, RE3, and then Tlou 2 along with some Nintendo stuff
I hope they continue to support Dreams for awhile though, adding new tools, tutorials, etc.
