Agreed, however from a cost perspective, I would think a FFIII remake from the complete isometric to a 3d world would be far more taxing and time consuming. Plus as a great a game it is, I did not sell nearly as well as FFVII.
Out of their over zealous control of IPs on streaming services, explain the differences
While I understand completely the current economic situation, I do not believe that this, defending/loyalty/fanboyism, would be any different prior to any launch of any system. Since it happens, every... single... time.
I probably won’t buy both at launch. I’ll probably try and stagger it like I did the PS4 and then a couple months later the Xbox one. I’m truly fortunate to have the ability to have a fair amount of income to buy any system I want, but outside of a having a family of my own, that was my biggest wish/want growing up.
Fanboys: “My system is more powerful!” “My system is faster!”
Me: “Annnd preordering both. Hooray for adulting!”
Much like Xbox’s tech reveal earlier in the week, this was to showcase the specs and system enhancements. Thankfully I haven’t seen any lame “it wasn’t exciting because we didn’t see games,” opinion articles today like I saw earlier on Xbox
I would reallllllly like to play some PS1 either natively or digitally at some point on the PS5 rather than having to breakout the PS3
Man, I thought I read for months that this was going to be fully BC with the PS4. Its not a deal breaker by any stretch, but kind of disappointing.
Huh... you pose a very interesting point. While I’m super excited about the ability to jump in and play with no loading times, I can definitely see to your point on how that could pose a pacing problem. I hope developers will take that into account and pace the game accordingly as to not throw a player into constant action.
I believe the intent was to reveal the specs and dimensions of the system, why reveal anything more when you have planned event(s) to show off anything else.
I don’t get these “Nintendo is in trouble” opinions. There’s no data to backup anyone’s claims that sales will drastically fall off when the PS5 and Xbox SX drop. If anything the reason Nintendo often fails is because of their own decisions, not necessarily what the competition is providing.
I subscribed to this for about 10 months, it’s actually pretty cool. Once you sign up, you give them a list of retro games you have, and then go through a decent selection description to tell them what games (genre & system) you are looking for and what types of games you don’t want. Now, generally you’ll get a box worth the $40ish dollars you pay for a month, so that means you won’t be getting the rare/expensive games. It’s fun, and generally something cool to look forward to every mont...
I agree, their numbers have been proven over and over to be very rough estimates. I’m just curious as to how rumors such as these (and various other rumors) postings get approved with their sources are known to be anonymous.
According to their website they do not disclose their data sources out of fear a competitor could use the same data. However it still makes their data source “anonymous, even though I would assume they would be a “trusted source?”
So to play devil’s advocate on this whole “rumor” ordeal for N4G, wouldn’t then all Vgchartz postings then be denied since they do not quote their sources for their data, thus making the sources anonymous?
2. Because if not, then ALL “rumors” should be denied since their sources are second hand data and are anonymous. But then what does this site consider a “trusted” site for rumors?
Lol How many articles are we going to see on this? The switch is mostly a secondary system, where it’s 3rd party ports are awesome to have, but not necessary to the systems overall success. I don’t foresee a Wii like drop off anytime soon, especially if the PS5 and Xbox are at over $500.
This is a very weird article. It doesn’t explain its point outside of trying to predict what Nintendo will do with their games, to which author tries to predict that somehow MARIO will follow in the God of War Father son dynamic, which is just dumb as far predictions go. It could have easily made its point on just online, where I think anyone can state Nintendo is well behind their competition. But trying to say they are “behind” or going to follow other developers in straight gameplay mecha...
Competition is good for the industry.
I wouldn’t say it’s “the” console to have, but it’s definitely nice to have as an option.
