Honestly neither really have IMO and so rarely do with their usual launch games. While the new Spider-Man 1.5 game sounds fun... at launch for the PS that’s really all there is. Xbox, I mean Halo will be one the Xbox One so there’s no real need to upgrade yet there either. If the PS5 is priced right and has BC right out of the box, then I’ll probably go that route first just so I can trade in my loud af ps pro.
It’s always been a “campy” sci-fi story. The original trilogy was good, but 4 & 5 have been all over the place. ODST was by far the most interesting.
“consumers know PS5 is worth whatever Sony asks” isn’t a plan or phrase I would ever use again considering the initial launch of the PS3.
I mean I get why they showed it first as it is, by far, it’s most popular IP. But the other more impressive looking games aren’t going to be on the Xbox one, which I do believe plays a factor into what Halo can currently look like.
@ Elda I didn’t like RDR2 either, too many remedial tasks to constantly do. Plus, and this is probably just me, but after living in the middle of nowhere Arizona for a good portion of my life , the “Wild West” scenery just plays out on bad memories.
This and Everwild stole the show for me. It looks super interesting and that dual screen gameplay looks great.
It’s a good a game but not GoY... let alone generation. I’m about 10 hours in, and it is beautiful, the combat can be really fun if not for the really odd and troublesome camera angles it can sometimes give you. Also the targeting in combat can get real tricky/annoying if there are more than 3 enemies rushing at you, or if your trying to rush an F’ing annoying archer and your character won’t turn to fight him. But if I’m being honest, there’s not a ton that separates this game from a newer A...
I get the same way about a lot of games too, that get overly hyped. I really liked the Witcher 3, there’s was just something off putting to me with its combat. Still a fantastic game, and highly recommend anyone a fan of the open world genre to play it, but it didn’t live up to the ungodly praise it got.
And that’s a good way of putting it too. From talking to a few colleagues at work who are causal gamers thought it looked alright, my college Halo friends thought it looked good, and then everyone else... well the internet doesn’t always give the most accurate impression/perspective when it comes to a consoles exclusive game.
I saw an interview with 343 that the build shown today apparently is still an early build... not sure why they would show it then today, or how they...
Regardless of if they hyped it or not, it would have received negative or unrealistic expectations, and it looked significantly better than Halo 5 IMO. The pop-up can be fixed along with some texture scrubbing, but this game also has to work with a vanilla Xbox One, so certain limitations had to be made.
Not sure if Xbox is going to necessarily show us what their next gen games will look like for at least another year. With that being said, while I’m excited for Halo... i...
I thought it looked good. Not from a graphical standpoint as Halo has had its own sort of style that’s veered more towards arcade than realism. It looked really smooth, interested to see what a open world Halo game is like. But, they didn’t show much of the story and the biggest selling point the MP, so that was disappointing.
Yeah I don’t get the Halo must look realistic to be good. Halo has had its own graphic style, heck I remember a time when people that Killzone 2 would kill Halo 3 because of how they both looked. Halo looked like Halo, smooth, fast, and fun... plus no sign of Locke just MC, which is a huge plus
Great F’ing game, and criminally under marketed.
If that means ND would be allowed to make their rumored Space IP, then absolutely.
So it’s a 8-9ish game, about on par with what Suckerpunch usually delivers. Can’t wait to get this though.
Can’t wait to get this.
It will interesting to see no doubt. They could still get quiet a few Xbox360/PS3 era ports/remasters and then NBA 2k franchise. I think one the biggest issues right now with ports is the capacity of the 32gb cartridge, which I thought they going to get the 64gb ones this year... but COVID might be delaying all that.
I mean in 2022 it will 5yrs since the Switch was released and then maybe a launch in 2023. I could be wrong but Ijust don’t see them doing a Switch pro
The first year of any next gen typically has cross gen games (particularly for 3rd party) so they might get a few ports here and there. Developers aren’t going to completely ignore a console that’s nearing 70 million. But I would think we got maybe 2yrs left until the next Nintendo console is announced.
Yeah but do they mean by most “popular” titles? Is it mainly just 1st party? Will digital only games transfer? There’s a lot left they need to explain on that feature.
