The principal of math and logic are lost here... I would suggest not wasting the brain cells to argue any valid points...
All that matters is profit and the return on investment. It looked like Microsoft had a small profit turned by the Xbox division at the begining of the year. Regardless of how we feel the direction of the brand is going (or not going) anything that turns a profit will stay around. Unfortunately we live in a world where shareholders run much of the industry we love. We might not like much of what Miscrosoft pulls on us the consumers but at the end of the day... it's about making money,...
It will be interesting to see what their E3 presentation is going to be like... whether they are focusing on the home media side or the games side more. They are not catching the Playstation this gen, but it will interesting to see if they have a 2yr, 5yr, or even a 10yr plan.
Hooray another "me too" gaming device that will spend more time cramming subscription based media down our throats then innovating or expanding our now over saturated past-time.
Lorne is apparently craving for the days of yester-year when Squarenix, Activision, Ubisoft, and EA weren't the only publishers you had to use . A day when the Hudson Softs, SNK, Tecmo, Acclaims, Enix, or the Ultra Games didn't major publishers to support major releases. Like or not, shareholders and large corporations run the business that we all once deemed a great hobby or past time, that was onced seperated away from the mainstream. They are all in it to make money.
It's hard for a video game to last the test of time and be considered the best of all time. To those for were fortunate enough to play a game like OoT will view it far differently than gamers who play it for the first time during this current generation. It's like people who saw Citizen Kane in its release will hold it in higher regard than a God Father or American Hustle for those a different generation.
@xHeavYx because for as many seemingly positive submissions of TitanFall there are equally if not more negative submissions on TitanFall or Xbox... can't blame Maria though, negativity and controversy sells clicks on N4G.
Funny I'm getting disagrees with no responses... typical.
@Beastforlifenoob do we need examine your posts then? Cause it would be a pretty open and shut case on the term hypocrite.
@aiBreeze I'm not saying EA doesn't belong there, trust me they do. All I'm saying is that pool is put together from a composite of negative attention a consumer company got this year. Not from researching actual customers that contributed to the selection of companies on this list. Either way EA would be on this list, but I highly doubt the average consumer out there knows who they actually are or what they are negatively known for.
This whole poll itself it flawed. All it is based off of is negative publicity a company may have had during the recent calendar year. It never really does any actual statistical research on who the American populace thinks should be part of this "worst" company pool.
I feel like this review is less on the originality of TitanFall but more on the overall generic genre of 1st person shooters.
A little ironic that site called "this is Infamous" reviewing Titanfall isn't it?
Please note there should be SPOILER ALERT in the title for those of us still playing through it.
Yeah I didn't do a good enough job explaining, that... technically it couldn't have been done on the PS3, the lighting, the detail, and the viewing distance alone would say that... It just doesn't quite wow me... The differences between Infamous 1 and 2, graphically were night and day... from 2 to 3 it just doesn't feel as noticable. That dark tunnel vision you get climbing buildings during the day is annoying...
While the game is fun and the AI is surprisingly good, it doesn't feel like a game that couldn't have been done on the PS3. Yes, I know the graphics; lighting facial, and particle effects are great. I wouldn't just go out and scream "now this is next-gen" much like TitanFall which in fact can be done on last gen system. I think our definitive next-gen games will really take hold over this coming holiday season.
See I'm starting to question that, I'm seeing more and more Playstation 4s in Walmart, Bestbuy and Target the past two weeks. I went and picked up Infamous at bestbuy Friday and there were 4 or 5 PS4s... quiet a few Xboxs too though. They're at least doing fine meeting demand here in CO.
Definitely Uncharted 2, the different environments, the writing, the acting, and it even an awesome boss fight.
@pcz everyone please agree with me so I don't look a troll... there fixed.
@pcz actually everyone can play childish games... that's why they are rated E for everyone. Nintendo explores their market base, family games or games that don't require cursing, sexual themes, are excessive volience to be entertaining. It's not like Disney or Nickelodeon is going to run out and make "R" movies because there's a "massive" market for them.
For the most they have the same tastes as I do. I don't use these "reviews" or metacritic scores to make my decision on a game purchase or not. With the influx of info we get on games months (even years) before a game is released, definitely goes a long way in showing what the final game will typically be like. It's when the 9s and 10s start showing up, that I normally look at a game as being a Day 1 vs waiting a month or two to maybe get it used.
I would be pretty excited to have 100 games somehow released in the 9 months... which means a little over 10 games a month. I think a more realistic number is probably half that... even if most are indie titles.
