@Theyellowflash30 don't respond or try to argue with a child... I promise you'll get nowhere with this dude's nonsensical troll mania posts.
You make a good point 1st party titles from Nintendo regularly outsell 3rd party exclusives and multiplats, it's actually an underlying reason as why some 3rd parties don't like making games for Nintendo. In the least in the past, large 3rd party titles could be pitted against a Mario/Zelda/Metroid release and eat up ...
@chrono wow... bombiU? how long did it take you to come up with that?
I love this game, it's hard, but really fun. Reminds a lot of Super Stardust which I also love to play.
@medman i can see your point, but from an impressional standpoint, it's typically harder to sequels/prequels to up one each other the further along they go. Don't get me wrong, with the freedom they have tech wise, I sure the game(s) will be fantanstic, definitely one of the few franchises I look forward to the most this gen. But to me "generationaly defining games" typically are new IPs that we know now less about that give us fresh, new, and often innovative take on any ...
Right!? If I buy a new pc, tablet, phone, tv, or essentially any consumer electronics device, I'm pretty sure it's outdated in a month or two. I think the bigger question is, how dated will they feel in a couple of years?
Maybe... hopefully, but on the business side of things, games traditionally sell better during the holiday time frame. I could see "delays" for that reason.
This is exactly my point of view too. I mean I have ton of indie games for both the 360 and PS3, does anyone see those being transferred over to the new systems? People like to throw out the mp3 and movie streaming surge, but the games aren't on a universal codec so from system to system you're always in danger of previous digital purchases either lost or made extremely hard to replay.
If they think this October is full... wait until Oct/Nov of 2015...
There's no reference to the author pointing out it will be remembered fondly for those games, or that it was "supposed" to achieve any level of commercial success. I mean I get what you are saying and if the article said what you just said, it would make more sense.
I feel like this someone telling me the government finally revealed Aliens exist and we're in contact with them... awesome if really true, but I still have that gut feeling of the rug being pulled out from underneathe this annoucement.
I think it will hard to greatly approve upon what made the original trilogy so special. It's hard for existing franchise to "define" a new generation with already such great expectations. That being said... a more seamless galaxy to explore, more races of aliens to discover, and maybe even a job-class like a Final Fantasy would be really cool.
And I have seen more informative comments from 10yrs olds... who shockingly, play nothing but App Store games!
If you're going to tell me you find iphone/android games with more depth or better gameplay mechanics than say a W101 or SM3DW, then I am simply at loss for words.
You're talking about story... not gameplay, where most of the Zelda, Mario, name your Nintendo IP vary from game to game. You have to remember Nintendo has the most IPs to use too, they have been around longer than the Playstation... So it's only practical that they dip into their back catalogue to use IPs in different genres or gameplay methods.
Honestly all 3 consoles online store are not that user friendly. Steam, IMO, is still the easiest to find stuff and shop. I do like the media movie store on PSN more than Xbox Live. I liked the setup they had before on the PSN with the window pane setup back in like 2010. Whatever, it's not like any of the 3 can't improve the layout as time goes on.
This article is extremely confusing. The author seems to want to condemn the system but praise it software and it's ability to be unique and fun. Then pointing out that there are no system sellers, while Mario Kart was never believed to push the Wii U past or even on par with the PS4, it has done quite well in getting more Wii U's out the door.
There are several counterpoints:
"It had a stupid name," didn't seem to stop the Wii from selling

Lol yeah I killed the doctors too. I had a feeling that was what the game was leading up to... in terms of the ending, I glad they allowed the gamers to choose though. If they had just said Elle was going to die/or live, it definitely would have been as emotionally impactful (at least to me).
I agree with most of these but if I had a list it would be:
1. The opening and ending of Ocarina of Time
2. Popping in a Tetris cartidge into an old school gameboy
3. The opening of Uncharted 2
4. Beating Mega Man 2 in a single play through
5. Watching the world change in FFIII
6. Using different plasmid combos to take down a big daddy
7. ToLU play through
8. Getting a Steam account
9. Mario 64 play through
Summer boredom? I love these articles, everyone becomes an expert on statistics. It's entertaining and a good break from my job... staring at actual statistics.
Thank you! I did not know that, I'm going to try that tonight!
says the closet wiiu fan... aren't you band yet?
