Leave VII untouched, it maintains its charm that way. I don't need brand-spanking new orchestral scores and obscenely detailed graphics. The midi tracks and sensationally hand-painted backdrops suit me just fine.
The fact that people still think there are biased websites/magazines/articles blows my mind. I mean, seriously? It's the most childish thing I could possibly imagine. Like there is some conspiracy theory damning the PS3. Are you kidding me? These journalists aren't even in that mindset, they don't give a shit what console they play on, they care about the quality of the game itself. Not to mention, believe it or not, they have their own opinions.
Shock. Horror. ...
It's looking like a pretty tight production on console so far. As it was with Crysis 2, the lighting engine goes a long way in delivering the goods. It gives the game some extra visual flair. I still can't see myself picking this up on anything other than PC though.
Anyway noticing the correlation between complaints made about Resistance 3 scoring an 8/10 and Gears 3 scoring the same?
Me neither.
Gah, this is going to kill me. Generally I sell my previous NBA game to purchase the next years, but I feel so attached to 2K11 that I have to keep it. If 2K12 is as good as suggested, this holiday season will be burning more holes into my pocket.
This sounds like Oddball from Halo, although that isn't team based. I'm still curious as to how it'll work. Had some insane Oddball games in my time, so I'll probably check this mode out with some friends.
Visually, the game doesn't exactly look crap. The look is clean and does enough to justify the frame-rate and the pace of general play.
Call of Duty die-hards don't need the game to be mind-blowingly good looking. Games like Counter Strike, Halo and Goldeneye maintained longevity because the gameplay was tight, despite the underwhelming visuals. That's why Halo 2 was still big, that's why Counter Strike is still big, and it's also why Call of Duty 4 is sti...
I'll probably check out the matchmaking a few times, but I live in the servers on CSS, so that'll obviously be my go-to in Global Offensive.
Arguably the greatest game composer of all time. Always love listening to the humble Nobuo's music and interviews.
Spec Ops is virtually Infinity Ward's version of zombies. They have a round by round game mode that increases in difficulty. Not disagreeing with you here, but they do have room to move when DLC time rolls around. I'll be interested to see what they come up with.
Rehashing old maps is diabolical though and a complete insult.
What I'm saying is, this is the kind of crap that is easily consumed by weak willed gamers.
Honestly, what do you think the purpose of this article was?
These junk articles, along with redundant Top 5 lists, cosplay pictures and console comparisons dominate the top page. Every single day, despite the fact that there are far better articles out there receiving cold receptions.
It's indicative of the N4G community as a whole.
I'm warning others. This barely constitutes an "article", let alone news of any kind.
I honestly don't care that much about the content, I like both games. I'm just predicting an insatiable comment argument that will likely go for 4 pages, while this "news article" hits the top page, when there are far more interesting things happening in the gaming world.
Here we go. Watch this go to 1000 degrees by this evening.
Don't take the bait people.
It is very much about business, and regardless of opinion, you can't deny Kotick's business smarts.
The series is still trending upwards and until it sees a decline, they'll bombard consumers with all kinds of superfluous extras.
DLC seems expensive to outsiders, but the players buying these map packs spend 30+ more hours on them, hence providing 3 times the hours that the average single player campaign offers. That's a quarter of the cost. <...
Feel free to suck on the teat of any big AAA title that gets churned out and disposed of on a regular basis.
Once the dust settles on this generation, it'll be games like El Shaddai that are remembered for being ambitious and abstract. It isn't perfect by any stretch, but it doesn't phone it in like a number of big budget titles.
Check out 2:35 on the "Jihad Quad" video. Unbelievable.
After playing some BFBC2 and BF2 today, I just can't even imagine what it must be like to play the game on console. I'll be picking up the PS3 version for my brother so I'll check out the multiplayer on there. None-the-less, people owe it to themselves to destroy their PC's with this game. Can't wait to see how this monolithic computer-chugger runs.
Crysis is by all accounts a great game that should be experienced by everyone, at least, everyone with a PC that can handle it.
My gut feeling is that it should have been left alone. Crysis is synonymous with PC gaming. By cashing-in and squeezing the game onto consoles, it demeans the initial impact Crysis had and only offers a truncated experience for console players. The point of releasing Crysis in the first place was to display the future tech in all its glory, and by al...
The BETA is across all platforms right? I'm really keen on checking out the PC specs for this bad-boy.
The PS3 version looks decidedly blurry in a few screenshots (Check out the goal-keepers name on the back of his jersey, The "betclic" logo on the front of the jersey). Possibly a different resolution? Hard to say at this point, but I'm kind of disappointed if it's reminiscent of the final product. We'll see in due course.
