By and large, it seems like anyone that doesn't like Drake's Deception is immediately and unequivocally wrong, as this comment section suggests.
I can't say I agree with the reviewers score, but I'm of the opinion that UC3 is the weakest Uncharted game thus far and probably the biggest disappointment for me this year as far as campaigns go. I'm ready for the disagrees to pile in, in fact, I expect it. I'm only supremely disappointed because I love this...
Don't get me wrong though, I still think the game is solid, but they've brought back problems I associated with the first game, which is inexcusable. Obviously it's going to be a huge effort just to top UC2, so I wasn't really expecting that. It's just that they've gone with technical prowess over functionality.
I totally agree with the brawling system. It's great fun when you and EVERY enemy wants to fight hand to hand, but if you're forced into a brawl during a fire fight, it'll get you killed almost every time. You can't even properly back out of one if you need to.
The difficulty spikes in this are some of the cheapest in the whole series. The boat yard and cruise ship on 'hard' are tougher than anything in Uncharted 2's crushing difficulty.
Like seriously Naughty Dog? It's like hey, did you enjoy those big armoured goons? Well here are some bigger armoured goons for you, because we know you much you LOVE bullet sponge enemies. Waves and waves of them come at you in the same way they did in Uncharted 1, only this time ar...
People, especially gamers, love the fear angle. It plays to their sense of patriotism and lack of odds. Hence the reason Call of Duty is so huge in the first place, because it's accessible in that way.
The scene is pretty predictable, but I'm not going to condemn it. Children are casualties of war, regardless of background. It'll touch a nerve with plenty of people for the right reason. To defend, to serve, to protect etc. Universal themes for a big budget game. ...
@smashcrash, We aren't making it worse by pointing out strange design decisions, we're making it better. Naughty Dog is by all accounts an amazing development team, but it doesn't mean they aren't free from some constructive criticism. The shooting in '3' is evidently a step back from Uncharted 2. Many have complained about it for good reason. It's not nearly as fun or precise. I can adjust it all I want, but the fact of the matter is, these dead zones are stiff. Y...
I'm having this issue too. The shooting in general feels stiff in comparison to Uncharted 2. The lag input issue has happened a few times during the campaign. Once I restart the game it seems to be better. Please patch this ND.
This "fat ass" has more talent and riches in his left nipple than you will see in your lifetime.
Get slammed kid.
Support this game people. I bought this on PC last year and haven't regretted it one iota. Beautiful soundtrack too.
What impact does the metacritic score have on your life? Do you live and die by it? Get over it. Uncharted 3 is in the 90's and will remain there.
I'll trade UC3 in towards a GOTY edition if that eventually develops. I'm so sick of incremental DLC.
"Uncharted 3 could get a 1 out of 10 and I'd still buy it".
*Game gets an '8' and said gamer goes insane*
While I'm not impartial to having different language articles posted on this site, it's amazing how many of these superfluous comparisons get approved.
A definite fake if you ask me. Given Rockstar's history, why would they make a carbon-copy game of San Andreas? Literally everything he mentioned has be used before. He's just taken big chunks of San Andreas and smaller parts from Red Dead. GTA has always been about reinvention. He's deftly placed information to make it seem like he's an inside source, but this is unequivocally a mock-up.
Need I also mention that it came from 4chan? aka Troll City?
This article is all over the place and doesn't really have a specific focus. If there is one thing to agree on though, it's that if you own just one console, that'll be your only talking point.
I literally have no preference when it comes to owning both consoles and a gaming PC. I was into playstation when it first dropped in '95 and didn't break from that path until '10, when I bought a 360 to go along with my PS3. I can safely say that I don't gi...
Gamers are insecure, ungrateful, poor, and for the most part, stupid.
Without needing to point out the fact that the review was the opinion of one man, it highlights the amazing amount of people that get offended by it. Like literally offended. They haven't played the game yet of course, they just believe it deserve more based on the footage they've seen (a stone cold argument OBVIOUSLY). By all accounts Uncharted 3 will be absolutely sensational. Hell, I pre-ordered ...
I read it as Modern Morefair. You know, because their tweaking the multiplayer to suit different players this time?
These compressed video comparisons don't really do it justice. I've got the PS3 and PC versions. Without a doubt, if you have the PC to run it, it's a no-brainer.
The console versions aren't too bad. I prefer the framerate and multiplayer numbers on PC though.
Critics said the same about GTA IV. There was plenty of salt chugging there until people realised that GTA was once about fun factor.
Have you played the game by the way?
