So for 7 years then, not 8 they’ve been full of empty promises. That make feel any better?
Oh, I’ll buy one, just like every GEN, which I think gives me the right to air my grievances about them if I see fit. I love games, not services though, at the end whichever one gives me the best games is who I will spend my time praising most. Simple as that. MS hasn’t delivered on that front in a good while. I do want the new console because I’m a curious gamer, but MS has earned my skepticism over the years with their bloated since of marketing 🤔 MY personal 2 cents
Quality exclusives, Fantastic single player experiences with no GAAS, no microtrans, and no rushed/unfinished products would help their image out a lot. I want more than the same 3 game series on repeat, and a company that sees games as just that - games, and not as never-ending services to shovel content at us. Crackdown 3 shook my confidence in MS once we saw how long and how hard they worked on it - and it still came out a TURD in every since of the word...and I love Terry Crews!
I didn’t at 35 either, 36 and onward look like a different story🤦🏼♂️ Damn our desire for nookie😂
As it should! Invite more players to join the adventure and keep games alive longer. I can see this happening on multiplayer type games if Sony decides to reboot SOCOM, MAG, Warhawk, or Killzone. Heavy hitter single player games like the next Spiderman, God of War, Naughty Dog games won’t be coming to PC anytime soon though🤔
As long as hardware exists, I’ll be clinging to my plastic box. As I trust something tangible that still works when unconnected to the internet. Cloud talk is a bunch a BS for folks that want heavily connected multiplayer microtranshovelware in the long hall. Not gonna get to keep any of your crap when servers shut down. 🤣
People are quick to forget, all the innovations on the Sony side are not ALL contained inside the box. Way advanced new controller plus big VR support continued with old and new headsets gonna be epic. Don’t see anybody giving MS shit about the stagnation in both of these areas🤔
Because it’s ok to expect/ask for better, even from a friend. I like Xbox, but I haven’t loved Xbox since early 360 days. If I personally talk shit, it’s because I’m hoping Xbox steps up to the plate and shows us AAA quality games with an intangible 1st party Xbox feel that I can find nowhere else, and not GAAS unfinished wallet fishers, indies or game pass fillers. I don’t care about services, and power is only relative if you have the games I care most about playing. Owning a bad ass PC has...
That’s what I’m afraid of; buncha GAAS no pun intended
IGN article with Mike Rayner w/ Coalition (Xbox dev) says he sees Gears5 as a “launch game” for the series X. Happy to see them - but upgrades or not, this is laughable, and NOT a new launch title. I played, enjoyed, and moved past this game months ago - but this is how they gonna start out the gen, calling Gears 5 a “launch game”. Come on MS, don’t start with PR spins already this gen. It’s pronounced Joe Dirt, not Joe Dierte 🤔

Yup, honestly can’t wait to see what Microsoft comes swinging with this gen! We better see some fresh faces though, masterchief and the gears family are a bit tired holding the brand up all by themselves. I will NEED new reasons to pick up the SeriesX when I have (2) OneX consoles that are both less than 2 years old...
True! I knew I was forgetting one!!
As this generation is practically over, I would hardly strip Sony from calling this an exclusive as it has run its course sales-wise. Why not make more money off this and bring in new audiences to experience Sony “built” games. It wasn’t “multiplat” when it counted. I see this being a new norm where they keep games console exclusive for the first several years then port them. Sounds like a good idea to me, fiscally 🤔
Console only - Gotta go Bloodborne, then God of War, Uncharted4, spider-man, Horizon(as of now) and Second Son as my favorites ranked, then a few others. What a spoiled 1st party gen we’ve had overall. Can’t believe the knob is about to be dialed up again with the PS5. Absolutely cannot wait!
Because the current leading console company needs to follow the exact marketing campaign of the competition which gave up on the current gen sales reporting and game-wise awhile ago. Sony still has BIG PS4 games to deliver that we’re actually looking forward to🤔
Most, not all. I’d expect to see just a few PS5 exclusives in the 1st year but at least they exist and they’ll be hand crafted by Sony dev teams - which gives me sky high confidence those titles and future exclusives will be well worth it. On the other hand I do have 2 computers capable of playing EVERYTHING the series X will have for years!🤔
It’s too bad they can’t say the same about the size of their updates. It’s absurd this game takes up almost half of my 500Gb M.2.SSD on PC - a game I only play casually. I don’t even plan on playing warzone! Why make a “free” mode for everybody and plug it into a game I paid for, then make it a mandatory update for me to continue playing how I played before!?
Activision anti-consumer ways been burning my loins for awhile now but damn, now they’re absolutely ruining a relatively new p...
I would love to see all 1st and 2nd party exclusive games from the PS4 gen get PS5 patches to upgrade resolutions, textures, and frame rates IF they’re not automatically upgraded by the new hardware. Spider-Man, Days Gone, HZD, and God of War would all look glorious in 4k60, Bloodborne update for 4K60 would be mind melting! That patch alone would be worth 100hrs or more additional playtime for me and many others I’m sure!
Boooo, can’t people hold their berries a little longer. A little delayed gratification pays off more often then not🤔
