Witcher 3 had horribly boring combat, AC wasn’t a whole lot better. I’m hoping it plays like it’s own game or more akin to Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and Metal Gear 5 (stealth-wise, minus the guns obviously)

This isn’t news to me. Been saying it for awhile.

It was always non-sense. From the start imo

Lived in the shadows of Golden Eye and Duke Nukem64 if you ask me. I don’t personally care for a new game in the Perfect Dark series either, at least not over the prospect of a new IP from a new premium development team. I hope MS doesn’t go this route, but we all know they sure do love their multiplayer-shooter games, so this would come as an unwelcome non-surprise to me if so...

I wanted to love it! Like you said, it had the makings - a very cool theme, amazing traversal/parkour, pretty graphics for the time. But come on, the story was abysmal, more convoluted than a Kojima game, not enough good story missions to fill the game, boring repetitive side missions, combat had hints of coolness/newness but it never “felt” great during combat. I vaguely remember more frustration over what this game could have been while playing it.

Better, but not good...There was little to do in that game already, missing the side quests would have made it even shorter and more pointless. It didn’t have a great story so AC1 needed to bank on gameplay, which besides the cool parkour, it was shallow on. IMO of course...

That’s sad, I thought the 1st game still ended up still being boring. Can’t imagine the game they had before the added input. Lol

I Love these games! I do wish they could write a better narrative to fit in their games, but the gameplay alone always has such great feeling, variable combat styles, and a good dark atmosphere, that I enjoy playing regardless of the storyline. Y’all deserve the success, can’t wait to see what they come up with next...

I’m not interested in a PS5 for Battle Arena Toshinden, OG Twisted Metal, or Xtreme Sports upscaled from PS1 to 4K. They’re not going to age well and not enough time will be spent playing them to justify the efforts. I’d much rather see Sony investing those efforts into new games or patches for better upscale PS4 game performances. I’d love to see new official patches for better frame rates on Bloodborne, God of War, Spider-Man, Days Gone, etc...

Randomness for randomness sake I don’t necessarily see as entertaining. Waste of time in my brain.

Only thing groundbreaking about the switch IS it’s portability. Switch has its iconic cartoony Nintendo roster as always sure, everything else is either not on the switch or it’s likely the lowest quality port of the games I actually want to play. I Don’t see Cyberpunk, Mafia1 Remake, RDR2, or any open-world Ubisoft or FromSoft games going to Switch. It does light hearted cartoon graphics well, so MarioParty is great for company, but unfortunately that doesn’t leave a lot to desire for someon...

Not everybody. Mafia2 is running like a champ at 4K60 or 1440/unlocked on PC for me. Optimizations have looked good from what I’ve seen, no bugs so far. I didn’t play the original so I’m just judging what I’m seeing, super impressed considering how old this game is...and it’s still amazing to play! Super stoked for the full remake of part 1 though, that one is gonna melt some eyeballs.

Lol! While Still paying for gold just to play F2P games online!? Lol

Nope, story was convoluted from the 1st game. Got worse as the series went on. Gameplay was good in the 1st few but suffered from lack in diversity of engaging missions, had a lot of repeat missions. Got more grindy as the series went on(Origin and Odyssey) and never fixed or rebooted the story. The graphics and parkour have been the only two elements that have truly progressed with each iteration. Hang up the “Assassins” part UBI, and just give us new action/adventure games with cohesive plo...

This thing is gonna eat lightening and crap thunder! I’m out of my mind excited to see 1st party titles pushing the PS5 out the box, and seeing them get even better over time. Sony always brings it!

God of War was a strong franchise before and despite the reboot. Perfect Dark hasn’t been cool/fun/interesting since the N64. Lost momentum on IP over the years, I think fans would just as easily take in a new franchise than pick this old one back up after all this time. Might as well reboot Pitfall while they’re at it.

Unless it’s the ability to delete Warzone on PC to save file space, I really don’t care

2101d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

File size is a bloated mess. Deleted it because warzone is mandatory update on pc, which I absolutely don’t use. This game has turned out such a waste of space for myself

Create new IP please! There’s not been a single perfect dark entry to which I much cared for or have super fond memories of. I remember the one that launched with the 360, which sucked badly! I’d much rather see MS’ new premiere studio create something amazing to call their own, not on an uninspired reboot for the sake of using an old IP from the vault. Microsoft needs new big IP characters and new AAA series to fill out the line-up. Perfect Dark won’t be convincing me back anytime soon.

Yea Cliffy, because GamePass alone was gonna save that game!? Lol. Should have gone f2p and had purchasable updates like war frame. That was LawBreakers only chance releasing so closely after Overwatch...
