My calendar is marked, I’ll be ready to spring for the Pre-order during or right after the show!!
Not really, just that new games releasing in or after July need to be optimized to take better advantage of the PS5. No straight PS4 games without optimizations for the 5. Makes since to me if you’re launching a new platform.
Since when are “true RPGs” only in 1st person? This must be a new litmus I hadn’t heard about...
Both suck, combat-wise
I can still admire the theme, setting, and world exploring, otherwise I’ve always hated Elder Scroll games. They’ve always been too stiff, too janky, even Skyrim. Character animations are still something to laugh at minus the mods, and combat looks and feels like a shoebox. Dragons Dogma and Kingdoms of Amalur:Reckoning are much better RPGs with good combat systems that keep me engaged throughout. Elder Scrolls could go turn based and it might manage to make the combat look better lol
Congrats to CDP red. However, gotta call a spade a spade. Worst combat mechanics for a GOTY I’ve played in recent history. Great story and characters, great graphics, but bored to death with those stiff repetitive sword swinging animations. Big lack of variety, hope they fix this in witcher4
And still, those come off as a modern day Sega arcade-ish titles that should have been made around the same time as Shenmue
I’ve always said, a strong narrative, motive, or concern for my character is just as important as the mechanics of a game. The gameplay looks fine, even fun, but I don’t see a story there that I care to experience personally. Maybe this will change with more shown...not holding my breath though.
You can tell too, they white-wash their characters in almost all games, look at every FF game ever made lol
Turn based anime was never my thing,
neither is anime in general. And as much as I loved MGS, Kojima’s overly convoluted storylines are what I cared for least about those games. Don’t know why any game with realism, live action, and a non-fantasy story that can be followed gets called “westernized”. White-washing so many of their characters doesn’t really help either. I’m sure westerners are the reason for that too?...
Watch, somehow MS will figure out how to shoehorn in a MP mode into Helllblade. AAA GAAS! Lol Y’all still playing Crackdown 3!?
Damn straight. I don’t want the cloud owning all my games in the future. Gaming will never be the same once we go ALL digital, which means 100% internet dependent. To hell with that, we’ll will never see a complete game on day 1 again, and we’ll lose “real games” to companies with the largest server farm's and networks...*cough**amazon*coug h**google... scuse me, swallowed a little of my hopes down the wrong tube...
More like white boys wit bad haircuts and their older brothers’ merch from the 90’s lol
I’d take a Max Payne reboot/remakes
Crackdown 3!!
Yea, that can be a real c@ch-tease. Wish they didn’t dangle them in front of us like that. Lol
Every assassins creed game. Unpopular opinion I’m sure, but those games have always been more fun/fascinating to run around parkouring historical large-city environments than actually playing the game. Always thought they failed to deliver a motivating narrative to keep me engaged long enough to finish many of them. Only finished AC1 and Origins due to love of the Egyptian setting/mythology, and still didn’t care too much for the story told. They try too hard tying these all together, instea...
Bought PF:Zero at the 360 launch and thought it was hot trash. That game deflated my desire to see that franchise make a return
Thank you for saying this! I was beginning to think it was only me. Considering it got GOTY and everyone rides CDproject red’s jock for this game. The story was indeed GREAT! The gameplay though, bored me to death! I shouldn’t have played Bloodborne right before this, it put my combat expectations on a new level...
Even the CGI trailer wasn’t running on the seriesX!? Damn MS, way to introduce YOUR beastly product.
