But he said Xbox One...and he’s not wrong, Xone gen didn’t have a lot that kept me using it as more than a 4K player often enough. No trolling here, I own too much MS stuff for that, but I’m not afraid to say that MS can and should do much better going forward. They have a good “quantity” of studios now. Hope to see the fruits of that soon!

Ubisoft + DLC = Grindy 60-100hr games or multiplayer games. I personally feel nearly all AC games have had too much bloat for telling engaging “narrative stories”, most I’ve had to watch on YouTube later to understand or to finish because I just couldn’t commit to the games. Origins is the only one I ever managed to beat and that’s only because I love that mythology. The rest have always been beautiful and dull, IMO of course.

Haven’t even seen actual gameplay yet and the DLC sounds more fun the base game. Can I just get the Beowulf game!? Lol! Surprise,..I’m expecting another visually stunning/grindy/crap convoluted story, with the better parts of the game hidden behind payed DLC. So far, this glass still seems to hold water 🤔

COD MW 200GB file size is eating my shorts on one of my good m.2 pc drives. I hope the bloat is an embarrassment to Activision, but I’m afraid it’s not. File size wasn’t part of my decision to buy the game but it’s soon to be the MAIN reason I delete it.

Just stop with the updates. My hard drive hates your bloat activision!

The trailer had me thinking it was a Prometheus/Aliens game right off the bat...Creepy, musty ass atmosphere. I’ve been wanting a new dead space-ish IP for a while now, so I’m happy to give this a go whenever..

Agreed, unless MS bought the IPs, they could/should easily release on the opposite platform down the road....Nier Automata anyone?...

The $100 extra price difference was initially the largest nail to Xbox one, but there were several others that lost MS the last 2 generations really as a whole. Not having a steady flow of significant works to claim by their 1st party studios has remained a thorn in the side of MS. I’m hoping this the gen they can turn that around. They’ve run out of excuses, they have the “raw” power advantage, and all the new studios money could buy leading up to SeriesX. For competition sake, I hope they c...

I think the masses could handle a $500+ buy-in and still see substantial units moved for each company this launch. In general, BIG tech gains to games incoming in one way or another for respective systems this generation. Depending on variable storage console options(Sony), and additionally bought storage drives (MS) WILL sell, storage alone could increase the core price of new consoles at least an additional $100+ for many, so I could easily see spending $600US+tax or more day 1 for: Conso...

$1200-2000+ new gen cpu/gpu gaming laptop should perform as well as a $500 box. Is this a surprise? I can see PS5, SeriesX, and PC trading performance blows all next gen depending on the game and optimization priorities chosen. Gonna be interesting.

Don’t know about the split screen these days, but I think many would play a brand new next-gen Twisted Metal. I think it’s been long enough since since it’s had a proper outing. I could see loving some crazy destructible environments, changing map courses, day/nighttime/weather effects. Then have Mad Max, Ghost Rider, The Undertaker(Hearse), Rob Zombie or some other crazy car-related characters as pre-order DLC. New crazy soundtrack!! It could be awesome!

No one is saying abandon ship. Like Sony is not abandoning ship by having major releases on PS4 during the lead up to PS5 while also likely having day 1 ps5 exclusives to go, and likely releasing many more games to come on PS4. Microsoft straight up abandoned this gen game-wise, now they don’t want to move forward without their shallow library of old games. Surprise surprise...they NEED bc more than their competitors, even though that feature will be appreciated on both new consoles.

Sure, but for how long and at what cost to the development of new projects coming to the “service” day 1. I’ve got game pass too, for $1. I’ll cancel when the month is up and catch on sale again down the road. There is literally no reason any longer to pay MS big money for any of there games like this, which in turn will affect their profit, which will affect development cycles. Have you noticed the quality of Netflix content has gone down a bit over time🤔 Services as your MAIN busine...

Yikes,...like, we better run like the snacks are on fire Scoob! Services only grindy theme parks with DLC galore in every “game”. Come equipped to milk your audience to death new teams!

If MS doesn’t see Sony as direct competition or doesn’t care about console sales, why aim to launch in the same time holiday window as Sony at all then? Seriously, if MS provided so many of its own unique experiences like Nintendo or Sony, why not just completely do their own thing/ own timing, not be concerned with what the others are doing, maybe...because they do care about the numbers? Lol... You don’t spend the money on R&D plus years of development because you don’t want to see your...

This is fine if you see everything as a service. Majority of games should not be a service! I love a good beginning, middle, and end myself to the art I enjoy. But that’s what I see true games as - interactive art, games as a business model suck for all of us...nickel and dime us to death w/ add-ons that should be in a game and call it player-options🙄 Why would any company spend so much time and money hyping up a new product if they truly didn’t care if anyone picked it up, Or are the...

Sure, developer freedom....which in AAA-game world these days means more bloated unfinished games being designed from the start NOT to include some of the better content of a game in favor of more and more cash grab later. God of War had 0 paid DLC and wiped the floor w/ most action games this generation. DLC CAN be good, I just think it’s used unnecessarily to extend the life of games that should have been better in the 1st place. 60hrs+ Assassin’s Creed games don’t need 40+ extra hours of c...
