What an understatement. Forza is literally the ONLY good MS published game they’ve had all this gen. Dude’s begging to be called Mr. Obvious. I almost don’t think of think of them as publishers anymore, more just a gaming platform and eco-system.
Don’t know how it’s sold as well as it has without many top tier games so far. They need a much better 2023 to get another dime from me. Redfall looks decent, but I don’t give a crap about Starfield so far. I need Fable or Avowed, and announcement of the next Gears game. Some truly big stuff to win my confidence back in Xbox.
Considering how much more I care about a strong narrative then procedural endless filler exploration, I’ve got knee-high expectations for this game myself. And the gunplay already shown off did look pretty weak. There’s definitely time to sharpen the game but I don’t care much for what’s been shown off so far.
My sentiments exactly. 1080p with dynamic resolution does not beat OneX in any way in my book. Can’t see how anyone concludes it’s a better console, much less makes for a good “current-gen” console.
Yea, it had zero to do with the stellar 1st party line-up PS4 had all gen long while Xbox forgot how to make games…spot on Darth…smh

Been saying it since launch. My Xbox One X gets better specs out of games so the series S felt pointless, especially for a “next-gen” system

MS could be building a plethora of new studios and giving huge support to their existing catalog of studios with that money while also keeping A/B games in their eco-system for free, but that’s just too much work for a 1.7 trillion dollar company. Instead they’d rather take the low road and buy something that’s already popular and call it a day. Xbox’s ethos these days sucks. Can’t wait to see a “current gen” only Spider-Man. This is gonna be another epic masterpiece game from Insomniac. I can’t even imagine the bar they’re going to set with this and Wolverine coming right behind it.
With PS5 the only difference is the disc drive, otherwise same specs. Xbox has two different spec consoles…not the same
Dead Space 2 was arguably equally as good as the 1st game. You can’t just go altering a classic. I would love if they pretended 3 didn’t happen though, and just pick back up with a new sequel and ignore those events with a new direction
Sounds like player count IS the currency these day. In what world should a free to play game not surpass player counts over a game you actually had to pay decent money to access? Doesn’t seem that impressive really. Now I’d love to know what the average player spends in the game 3 and 6 months in, that’ll be interesting.
Might cancel mine as well and play on PC instead, get the best of both worlds. 60fps is crucial to many of us these days, should be the new standard by now, especially given how often dynamic resolution is used to achieve 4k anyway.
Definitely, I would dig Night King as a DLC character. Others I’ve thought would fit as well like Judge Dredd, Mad Max, Dr.Manhattan or Rorshach, Sauron, Guy Faux(V for Vendetta), or Pennywise. Still lots of fun unexplored partnerships that would fit the MK brand and universe.
They’ve got trillions, but not enough marbles to actually try to compete and develop their own sense of identity. Instead they’re going the route of buying a personality….super sad. And all these acquisitions adds absolutely nothing new to the gaming landscape.
PS5 was never built to be a native 4k60 machine. Look at how much a PC will cost you to run the same. Price to performance ratio considered, it’s a beast for its price range and so is the series X. Good optimization is always key for consoles, what else is new?
