Not every game is a game worth loving 🤷🏼♂️
I gotcha, but it’s still tales from the “Borderlands”. I get that it doesn’t play the same. I’m just tired of seeing the same animation over and over, it’s like Gearbox’s only art-style now. Just saying I wish they’d try some thing new artistically or aesthetically. They’re just trying to tentpole Borderlands to be its own metaverse with the spin-offs, when to me a new IP from them would be way more intriguing. Just 1 dude’s opinion. No harm meant by it.
Wish they’d come up with a fresh IP all together. While the animation is fine, the story and “cheeky” characters, and millions of weapons just don’t do anything for me. It’s time for something non-borderlands related in my opinion. With each sequel they seem to take the route more is better, and that’s just not always the case.
Looks like the Serious Sam version of Doom. More gamepass filler for sure.
Enjoy your favorite hobby with all the incoming advertisements coming to free-2-play games i.e. Microsoft’s 1st games. Top notch experience indeed. All for the low low price of a subscription instead of products standing on their own and actually deserving a purchase.
You must wake up dizzy everyday spinning that much. Lol
Or they could just stop being cheap scapes and support a quality game which is already under $40 pretty much everywhere. Top tier quality anything shouldn’t be given away for next to nothing. Support what you love with your wallet.
Great, more PR instead of fully baked quality games…Thanks for the fridge and the cookbook nobody asked for Xbox. What’s next, a charcuterie board or kitchen knife set? I’m glad they can “take a joke” but after awhile it looks more like gas-lighting then self-awareness.
I’ve played all 3. The gameplay was top notch and improved with each sequel, but I can’t remember or tell you a single thing about the narrative outside of a couple really sweet set pieces throughout. That still needs to be addressed in my opinion. The story arcs and side character acting needs to be pushed further. Everything else, continue to build on and she could be queen of the hill.
Agreed. I’m not giving money to CCP for a re-release of an old game. To hell with that.
For now…we’re still relatively early into this gen. Surely there will be other big flops.
Not everyone cares for Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Zelda and Mario Party games though. It’s the same games generation after generation and tastes change. If you’re super young or young at heart great, enjoy. But some peoples tastes have evolved to desire more mature art styles that would never fly on Nintendo.
Also, Nintendo’s ports are super weak as well. Why pay there to play a game in its worst form? Never understood that unless it’s your only option.
Thank you @Rambo, I’m glad someone said it. It was some of the lamest combat for a “masterpiece”
I wouldn’t give my art away for next to free either if I was proud of the quality.
I could see them do this with some of their future MP live service titles.
Sure, and Halo:infinite put live service games on the map?…..No, it didn’t.
Try playing Horizon 2 on hard with the HUD turned off. There’s plenty of challenge to be found if that’s what you desire or what separates the two for you. I’ve got over 60hrs in each game and it’s hard to just blatantly state the Elden is the better game. I’ve enjoyed both immensely, and Horizon is definitely the prettier game. And I can actually remember and enjoy the story instead of studying forums to breakdown the lore for context to everything.
Microsoft loves to focus on anything but the quality and steadiness of game delivery. They’re much more interested in the “services” aspect of what they’re doing. That’s why we have pink cat ears, and battle passes galore incoming but still no co-op in Halo:Infinite. Great job 343…
Typically, that’s why Switch ports come last. Devs need much more to optimize for lower spec hardware. Also, how many multiplat game look best on a switch….none. That’s the answer. So hardware does matter for graphics, performance, and ground up game design. Wait until m.2 SSDs are a prerequisite for current-gen games on PC. It will happen, and then you can’t just scale everything.
