32GB is probably excessive, you'd never use it all gaming, I really think most cards should be sitting in the 16GB to 24GB range, even 12GB being the standard on the weakest card would be a noticeable improvement. I don't really like the fact that the 5080 only has 16GB, it's probably enough for now, but with how developers are nowadays... 24GBs would future-proof it for its entire life span (plus I plan to hang onto my cards for a long time).
Is it to safe to make a guess that you name is loosely based on the Red Wings from FF4?
All of these games are actually surprisingly small in size, especially when we're talking next gen graphics for Nintendo. Because as you know, better graphics mean higher resolution, bigger textures, etc...
Probably less battery drain on the Switch, so the cartridges make sense in that respect. I know the PSP had its mini discs, but the Vita went back to cartridges, I wouldn't want the same thing for the Switch, especially as a portable machine.
Did Shenmu 3 not end the series? I have the all of the games on PC, but I haven't played them yet.
No, it makes sense, Nintendo always use less powerful, cheaper hardware while maintaining a higher price for those profit margins. Very on brand for Nintendo, plus, we don't know how much money Nvidia charged Nintendo for, there's a reason console makers generally don't like working with Nvidia.
I really like it, but I probably don't have much use for the camera since I don't play online and can't get my friends to agree on playing any given game together.
Pretty sure I have a 512gb in my Switch, and I've almost filled it, I can probably only fit one or two more games on that thing. Considering the fact that Switch 2 games will probably want more space, I'll probably be going for the 1tb card this time.
@DaCajun,
Not surprised they did this, but they could have easily used a small form factor SSD like the Steam Deck did, idk if this is a cost saving measure for them, or what it is.
Some PC games already cost $115 aussie dollars, PS5 games are generally $60 to $105, the average Switch game here is a firm $70, while Zelda BoTW/ToTK are $80.
I normally just wait for price drops, but I know Nintendo's first party rarely goes on sale, and when it does it's only a small percentage. It's bareable compared to other platforms, but the lack of price drops is what's hard to swallow for me.
Sucks for me though, because I only buy first party games for Nintendo consoles, everything else is PC where possible.
I wouldn't say they're cheap, but a screen that fits the Switch 2 probably won't add that much to the price.
I've felt the same way, I've been pretty pleased with the Switch this generation, and the Switch 2 is already looking pretty good, game-wise.
There was a new Daemon X Machina game teased?
Playstation and Xbox can barely manage 4k 60fps, so I'm perfectly happy with 1440P on the Switch upscaled to 4K if they're using DLSS or give us the option to use it.
I was hoping there would be an OLED version at launch, but I guess I'll try and hold out for a "NEW Switch 2" or a "OLED Switch 2"
Geez, it's a slew of Nintendo presentations, not that I'm complaining, because I'm always excited for them and come away pleased from 99% of them.
That's honestly not enough difference for me to even care, the gap needed to be bigger.
I actually thought this was an April Fools when I heard about it a couple of days ago.
8GB shouldn't be the standard on the lowest end of the range, they really should bump it up to at least 12GB, preferably 16GB.
Games from 4 years ago get close to maxing out the 11GB on my 1080ti at 1440p.
