I'd still rather the Switch 2 and all the BS that entails.
Most likely fake, plus the performance increase is a bit unrealistic for a console/handheld, that would put the PS6 over the top end of today's best GPUs.
Others exist, developers just don't like using them for reasons such as visibility and DRM (needed to sign into periodically counts as a form of DRM), those are good reasons for developers to give up if they can't use Steam.
I think it's more ideal to try and do something about Visa/Mastercard, as difficult as it'll be, otherwise they'll try and restrict other purchases you might be interested in making.
I will probably pick up Silent Hill 1 right away if GOG gets it, I grabbed BOF4 as soon as it was released, haven't picked up Dino Crisis yet since I already bought it on PS.
I actively avoid the microtransactions, I've almost never paid for one in my entire life, and the one or two times I did, it made me feel awful.
This ain't it chief, probably should have let someone in PR speak for you instead.
I just bought the last one during the last Steam sale, lol.
This is my biggest fear if I was ever to make a car racing game, the amount of money/licensing fees involved for a lot of cars kinda discourage you from using real life cars.
I don't trust IGN, but a lot of other news outlets have given it a good review, and I've seen some Youtubes stream it, so I think it's pretty safe to say IGN got this one right.
That's already kinda happening, it's getting hard to find skilled tradesmen, and you hear of a lot of businesses crying out for skilled labour, companies/corporate bit themselves in the ass, and it'll become much more apparent as time goes on.
It actually worries me that we haven't heard much about that game since it's initial announcement, idk if SE just announced it way too early, or if it's had a troubled developement.
At this point in time, it looks like the best Switch 2 exclusive, and I was initially going to ignore it when they first announced the game.
Yeah, it would have been a good time to announce it as part of the celebrations, but I guess they could also announce it later, but I also take it as a bad sign.
There's also the possibility it really could be cancelled, especially when they're not happy with FF7R's sales figures (Square-Enix tends to have stupid sales expectations anyway). There's fan remake of the beginning of FF9 somewhere on Youtube, that looks great, and that's how I would envision ...
It's kind of depressing to see what's happened to Rare, plus the loss of those IPs, they'll just stagnant and have nothing done with them.
Yeah, that's the part that makes it a harder sell for me, that and the game prices.
I think the majority of us have come to this conclusion already, that's why Xbox often has low video game sales numbers, I fully expect the trend to continue.
After you history, especially, recent history, I have zero faith they could deliver a new Banjo Kazooie game, I will take a port/remaster of the old games though if they make it.
Can you not hook up multiple devices to the same monitor? I have a PS4, Switch and PC hooked up to one monitor and jump between them.
I'm surprised you underestimated it, they've been on an obvious decline for a long time, look at the amount of money they were burning acquiring studios and feeding the Game pass monster. Their whole strategy eventually become out spending Sony/Nintendo to muscle them out of the sector, which didn't work in the end because they weren't providing their customers with the game they wanted.
Playstation hasn't had competition with Xbox for almost 2 generations, we're already seeing the results and I don't like the path Playstation is heading. Plus, Playstation still has to compete with Nintendo to some degree, even if they're user base is quite different.
Oh wow, who would have thought higher quality games would sell more games... I hope this entails even more games (I'm looking forward to Tales remasters/ports), I also hope this means a better budget for Super Robot Wars as well.
