Because Xbox fans have been conditioned to expect everything on Gamepass, they've been conditioned to avoid purchasing games, their user base has been trained this way.
I'm pretty sure this has been a big contributor to the downfall of Xbox.
We already have some Mobile/Gatcha games end up on PC, idk why this isn't a regular thing, it might even extend the life span of said mobile games.
I've seen this in the workplace before, for some reason, the crazy ones seem to rise to the top, even if they cause a lot of collateral damage along the way.
That's true, in the console space, the Switch 2 doesn't really have any competition, especially with the state of Playstation and Xbox.
Initially, I had no interest in this game based on the initial trailer, but this direct changed my mind, I really want this game now.
It's been like that for a while, they've just gotten progressively worse over time, this game is a bit of a monkey's paw situation. You get the remaster, but you don't get the War Of The Lions content in exchange.
"Not going multi-plat is why our game didn't hit sales targets" *Almost no one buys the Xbox version
I still think exclusivity isn't the issue, but by the time the game came to PC I couldn't be bothered, mainly because it's not what I want in an FF game.
For me, the game sales/prices and flexibility of the Steam deck outweigh the cost of the system itself, but I'll probably get a Switch 2 anyway.
I can't wait for the AI bubble to burst and see prices come down to something more sensible, I don't think this euphoria will last, and in the end, only a few worthwhile AI companies or products will be left standing. I wonder if we'll eventually see an Intel-lite situation for Nvidia in the future, where AMD finally wallops them, while Nvidia briefly stagnates.
Nah, I can't see Steam pushing out another Steam Deck for a few years, I don't feel like the hardware has advanced enough yet, definitely not enough to be a huge upgrade over the Switch 2. maybe in another APU generation or two, but I think it will be longer, plus battery life is an issue as it is, the APUs need to get more efficient or batteries need to get better (or maybe Valve will find a way to shove a bigger battery in that form factor).
I strongly suspect tha...
@1nsomniac,
That's been the opposite situation for me, Pokemon is popular with quite a few woman I've met, one ex-coworker, and one of my co-workers and his girlfriend are big Pokemon fans, I also know of another Co-worker who is also a Pokemon fan.
The more I think about it, I've actually come across quite a few of them, I lost interest at Gen 2, I've played Pokemon Violet, and that was enjoyable enough for me (even if I don't know half of the...
I sometimes play my PC on the living room TV with my surround system, people will say it's difficult, but it's really not, it's just an HDMI cable and a Bluetooth or wireless controller.
I was hoping for Amored Core DLC, but I don't think we're getting it, a new game would be good, but I feel like I'll have to wait a decade for the next game.
You're really reaching here, all of those are good games, I'd happily play any of those for hours, Oblivion might not be that appealing to me, and the new Doom game might be the weaker of the recent DOOM games... But they're still top tier games.
It's possible, you'd have to pick and choose a lot and stick to the main story to fit such a big game it into a 2 hour or less movie. Plus, it'll probably be expensive because of all the monsters that would have to be CGI, I'd be into a movie with the Elden Ring aesthetics as long as it's mostly true to the game's plot/lore.
The only video game adaptation that I felt went above and beyond was the Sonic movies, and they almost fumbled the first one, Mario was alright too.
I think they started shortly after KH3, I just keep forgetting about it because of how unhappy I was with KH3.
I really think Ever Crisis should have been a console game and an alternative to FF7R, just use low poly for everything.
My internet probably is good enough for a consistent experience, plus, the latency would probably be too much for me, I would never consider cloud gaming for these reasons.
I have a suspicion, but we'll see how it goes, it's the type of game that Xbox users should like.
