I knew it was DOA from the trailer, yeah, there's no recovering from this, it's Concord 2.0. I dread to see how many more of these Playstation had in production before they changed direction and cancelled the ones that were in the early stages.
I have never seen anyone praise Marathon for its art style, in fact, I think it's one of the things that is universally hated about this game.
Why riot? They have nothing of value, can't even steal an account with the details they have, they would have to attempt a brute force attack, you can already do that with a Steam user's account name (or any account on any site) if you really wanted to spend the time and processing power to do it.
Plus, if you have 2FA enabled, then you were at zero risk anyway, from what I've read, Steam isn't even recommending password changes as it's apparently unnecessary.
I would buy remasters of 3 and 4 in a heartbeat, although GOG did make some improvements to the BOF4, it looks great for an old game.
I wish I still had all my Sega consoles from when I was a kid.
@Games_People_Play,
If I can't buy my physical copies, you might as well be PC only, having physical copies was one of the few perks consoles had left.
Modern FF games have other issues besides gameplay, for me, it's a range of factors, like not feeling like RPGs anymore, lack of lived in and interesting towns and locales, lack of mini games, interesting side quests and legendary weapons, lack of good stories and characters...
This is why modern FF is so unappealing to me, even Kingdom Hearts is having this issue (moreso KH3 than any other game).
I also miss having control over a whole party, the current gameplay just makes it feels like a western RPG in some aspects.
I honestly find it easier to gimp action games than I do turn based.
I didn't even know Farmagia was a Marvelous game, I wish we could get that Senran Kagura S7ven game, but Sony/Playstation pretty much killed any chance of that happening.
I remember, I think it was Eternal where you're going through my area, and it starts with the "mortally challenged" and other lines like that, I thought it was a funny dig at the social climate at the time.
I would enjoy FF7R more if they didn't mess with the story, I can make do with the combat, even if it's not what I prefer for FF.
Let us have our turn-based RPGs, there's more than enough action RPGs and action games in general as it is.
Because GOG personally put the effort in to make the PC version playable on modern PCs, Capcom had little to no part in this remaster. If there's enough demand, we might get a BOF collection later. Just like Eiyuden got us the Suikoden 1/2, Armed Fantasia got us Wild Arms 1 and 2 on PS4/PS5, and I guess Ratatan got us the Patapon collection (although 1 and 2 were already available as PS classics).
Bought this in a heartbeat, I hope this shows Capcom we still want Breath of Fire, and hopefully GOG gets us BOF3.
Square-Enix are always surprised when their own turn-based games sell (e.g. Bravely Default), but then they're not quite happy with the sales of their other games (stupidly high expectations to a degree).
I really hope this game gets more sales, it looks like it deserves it.
Personally, I don't care if it's a little underpowered because it's a handheld device that doubles as a console, for the sake of battery life, it's okay if it's not the most powerful of the three consoles. I'm just glad it's significantly better than the original Switch.
Somehow, I'm not surprised, I would have been surprised if they had enough to meet demand from the get-go. I remember when they released the New Switch version, even then, I struggled to get one (it took me a month or two before I finally got it, unfortunately not in the colour I wanted though). I didn't even jump on it right away either.
Was it? A lot of people said it had game play issues, and felt worse to play than its competitors like Overwatch.
