At this point we're going to get all the Key visual novels, hoping for Angel Beats! and Kud Wafter next.
Square-Enix is such a mess these days, and do they ever make some baffling decisions regarding their games, I feel like if they did go back to turn-based for FF... They'd be able to focus more on story, characters, mini-games, making more believable worlds and towns, etc... Modern FF games always feel like they're lacking the magic that made them so engrossing to me as a kid.
WoFF feels more FF than anything they've released in the 15 years plus, I really wish t...
Me too, I finish most of my single player games, rarely stick with multiplayer games for too long.
I've cut back on my purchases, even when games are on sale so that I can actually finish more games. I've also been organising a short list of my most wanted to play in the short term to help me pick the next game to play.
I'm starting to notice a trend with these types of games that are badly written, and/or coded, and developers expecting to make a big franchise out of them, only to them be met with utter failure.
It honestly sucks, but with inflation taken into account, we probably wouldn't get a worthwhile discount these days anyway.
That's better than what a lot of AAA game are asking for lately.
@Gamingsince1981
True, I guess I'm just reinforcing his argument at this point, although WTF is with the disagrees? The standard model PS5 isn't even in the ballpark of the 5090's performance, there's been about 2 or 3 generations of Nvidia GPU since the original PS5 released. And the original PS5 is about a 1080Ti in terms of performance, or a 3070 if you want a more modern comparison.
I can totally see them doing that again.
Almost all the Xbox games are already on Steam, or at least the Windows/Microsoft store.
They're pretty close, maybe you can use a wireless mouse and keyboard for the few times when you do need them, or maybe they can make a controller that mimics the Steam Deck layout, that gets around desktop mode albeit awkardly.
With how far SteamOS and Proton has come, it might be worth the effort to try the Steam Machine concept again.
@VenomUK,
It's not even a competition, the 5090 be double the performance, and maybe a little more than that, it's a bit of a cruel comparison to even attempt.
It'll probably be low to mid-range 5000 series, I think, technically the 1080 ti trades blows with the original PS5, and that's an 8-year-old GPU. But by then, the 6000 series will also be out in the wild, I'm thinking 5070 or 5070ti in terms of performance.
I think it already is, Playstation decimated Xbox this gen, but look at the list of exclusive games for PS5, it's pityfully sad, especially once you exclude remasters and remakes from the list, I can't believe they're even in this state. Plus the closure of great studios like Studio Japan and the doubling down on GaaS such as Concord, we're definetly seeing a double sided sword situation.
I really don't think that's going to be enough, there are plenty of Windows based handheld PCs that can play xbox/Microsoft store games as well as Steam/Epic/Amazon/GOG/Etc... Xbox has much tougher competition than you're probably anticipating, especially when you take Rog Ally/Lenovo Legion Go/Msi Claw/Zotac Zone/etc... Into account. And even most of those brands have multiple handhelds under their name. I don't see how there would be room for Xbox/Microsoft, I don't thin...
I really love Battlecry, I wish I could pick up a copy somewhere and play that again.
I still haven't played this on my 3DS, I nabbed it before the 3DS estore shut down.
It's bizarre that they went after a supermarket, considering that Costa Ricans call supermarkets "Supers" over there, the store is also named after the owner too. Imagine trying to sue Mario's supermarket for trademark infringement.
@Redgrave,
And Wild Arms, Shadow Arts... They also effectively killed off Senran Kagura as well.
