At this point, it's probably better to match them up with Nintendo, I don't think they'll have to worry about Xbox for a long time if ever again.
Now if only it would show up more often, unfortunately the majority do not make a fuss often enough, hence why the industry is where it is now.
I'd rather have more games (and despite "recycling", they're still more varied and interesting/fun), at least Nintendo is putting out more exclusives, Sony has barely outputted anything exclusive this gen despite how good the hardware is. The point you're trying to make is just proving my point on how far Sony has fallen compared to last gen (PS4 and earlier).
Nah, I'll stick with my Switch/PC/Steam Deck and get all the games.
Their games output is still better than Xbox/Sony this generation, Sony really fell down this gen, can't believe this is where we're at. Nintendo has their own issues, but If that's how you want to be about Nintendo, it makes Xbox/Sony look even worse than how I framed them in the post above.
Reduces population using "one child policy", people stop having babies, so they remove it, no one wants to have babies now despite limiting them to only 3 children. I'm pretty sure economic conditions also play a big role in that one too, especially since 1st world countries are starting to experience Asia's low birthrate problem (except they get around it with imigration).
If it can play Switch 1 games like rumoured, getting the Switch 2 will be even more appealing for me.
I just can't get into mobile games, I've tried, but never spent a lot of time on them or finished one, plus, a lot of them, especially the English versions, die an early death.
I've got the same mentality, little to no exclusives on Xbox/PS consoles anymore, so it's better to have the PC and Switch, both of which can also be used as portable handhelds when I walk away from a monitor/tv screen.
I can't even justify buying a PS5 these days.
Not surprised Xbox has been in the gutter since the 360 days, and for some reason, Sony is slowly following suit with the PS5. Meanwhile, Nintendo is putting out great games and has a huge library of exclusives compared to the other two. And Steam sales make it easy to build up a stupidly big collection cheaply, it also helps that the Steam Deck is a thing so that caters to Japan's preference for portability.
Bandai Namco is going to Bandai Namco, I do believe that Square Enix can't change without changing the entire management, they've had these issues for more than a decade and haven't learnt, I have very little faith they can course correct. I'll still buy their better remasters/remakes like Star Ocean 2 though (not FF7R).
It exists, doesn't work on Steam Deck though, which is a pity, I've had the PC versions since release.
Ideally there should be choices (toggles can be implemented easily enough), but for some reason, we can only have a push for one or the other, or as some people put it "forcing intended behaviour by removing choice".
With comics and movies imploding spectacularly, and now video games are following suit, I think it's mostly going to swing back the other way as these products aren't making money like they used to before this forced political insertion.
I always wonder if these people are NPCs or just lacking self-awareness, how can any intelligent human say these things and actually believe it?
I really don't understand how we went from, "woman can dress and act as they please", to "we can't have a character with feminine features or personality traits, they must be gender ambiguous and covered up to eliminate any change of defining them as female". The world today really has become bizarre, it's like living in a clown world.
The 90s were a good time for pop culture, especially video games, we didn't have the BS we have to deal with today, blood/violence/scantily dressed woman wasn't as controversial, even in Australia, we got the blood and gore without too much censorship.
I wish we could go back to the 90s.
They should have been doing this from the beginning, releasing a mix of smaller and larger first party games.
Back when video rental was a thing, I rented out Majoria's Mask, I never finished it though. I did buy the 3DS version before the eshop shutdown, so maybe one day I'll finally play through the whole thing, it's amazing how well these games hold up though. I briefly played Ocarina of Time for a while and it was really fun.
I'm really enjoying the anime of this, just finished the first six eps, hopefully the game is decent, I've seen reviews all over the place for this.
Bash it for it's terrible localisation, sure, but everything else is solid gold, it goes back to the golden days of Suikoden.
I honestly wish Steam had more competition, I really wanted it to be GOG, but the closest we got was Epic, and even that wasn't a good match against Steam. Steam has its own issues like its hatred towards anime games/Visual Novels, and inconsistent censorship (Who on the approval team OKed "Furry Sex with Hi*ler", but banned 2 out of 3 Dungeon Traveller games?).
I just hate how every publisher has to have their own Store, I don't mind stores that serve ga...
