Silent Hill 2 is also on PC, but some of those other games will probably end up on PC, if not, most of them.
If they put out more games, I'm sure the figures would be a bit different, the PS4 had more exclusives games at this point in both console's life cycles. So I guess that just leaves people to spend more on the games they do have to play.
I wish this game had been more popular, it was pretty fun on PC, but when I played it, no one else seemed to be playing.
I'd rather just a remaster/port to modern systems, if any game deserved the remake treatment, it would be Xenogears, but I don't trust SE to do it, especially if Takahashi isn't on board to flesh out that second disc.
@CrimsonWing69,
The more I look at this remake, the less creepy and horrifying it looks, they really nailed the atmosphere in the original game.
@abstractel,
It is what it is, regardless of how you feel/think about it, it's no secret that Sweet Baby Inc worked on it at this point.
At least you can buy the PC version in its unadulterated form, which I'll probably do, although I already played the original a lot as it is.
This is not surprising, Sony has been like this since the HQ move, I also don't like the direction they've been heading in, this BS killed the Senran Kagura franchise (We'll never get another game to finish the story). I've also faithfully bought PS consoles until the PS5 gen started, normally I jump on a new PS console when I game I want finally comes out. That hasn't happened with the PS5.
It's done on purpose, It's probably a ESG/Dei push, from the thumbnail, it's looks like a 30 year old, I was actually shocked after I read the article and found out which character it is.
Everytime I see this thumbnail, I thought it was a middle-aged adult, until I actually read the article, I think they goofed a bit.
The only way they will know is when an account is active for 300 years, lol.
I just don't get excited for FF games anymore, I've been disappointed with the franchise for a long time now.
That whole shotgun approach of mediocre games really did back fire on them.
It's been longer than that, I think that maybe we're almost up to the 2 year mark?
I've been able to skip the PS5 this gen, I never thought that this gen would be so lack lustre for games unless you have a PC or Nintendo Switch. I was hoping Sony would at least dump a bunch of PS Classics games on us, but it's been a very dismal drip feed, I will be picking up that Sly Cooper though.
You'll enjoy it, I only got the 512GB model because I wasn't sure if I'd like it, I should have bought the 1TB model, but I guess I can add in a 2TB drive when SSD prices relax again.
I actually played Heroes of Might and Magic 3 on it a few days ago.
It's insane how most games I've thrown at it have worked with little to no effort on my part, some of my games run better on Linux than Windows.
I loved the Halo Lan parties, despite owner a 360, I was never a fan of the console, but those parties were great fun.
I don't think you can spin a some of those as good things.
Key gaming series - These kept them afloat, but they became too reliant on those franchises, and said franchises became stale, I don't think anyone is going to fondly talk about Halo 5 or Infinite, 5,10 years from now like they have of the first few games.
Marketing - I don't even remember these.
Kinect - It was kinda cool, but they made a mistake trying to force it ...
The 360 was the brand in its prime though, everything went downhill towards the end of that generation. Its staple games like Halo, Forza and Gears are what kept the console relevant and afloat for so long.
This just reeks of incompetence to me, if I remember right, Cyber Connect was the one who worked on FF7R initially before Square-Enix scrapped their work and started again. It can't be that bad outsourcing the FF9 Remake unless they poorly choose who to make it. I have a bad feeling about this remake, if it's not bad, it'll probably be as devisive as FF7R was to the fanbase.
