personally, i don't mind seeing this Limo Chase footage over and over again.
too many games suffered from over exposure of new environments before release.
Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, etc all showed waaay too much of their campaign before release. not all of it, mind you, but to the point where getting to a new locale didn't have that
"holy shit, we're actually going HERE??" feel. i LIKE that the developers these days...
i'm usually not a big fan of people making remakes of existing games, but what really gets me excited by this video is the possibility of game play types that LBP2 offers.
this battle engine isn't JUST for Final Fantasy remakes. someone could create their own original RPG, and use this as it's battle engine.
LBP is a revolutionary series for console gaming. i wonder, though, if it will ultimately get the praise it deserves when all is said and don...
i agree with another poster that the cause of death was more than likely related to energy drink consumption or energy pills.
when i was working 12+ hour days at Konami (7pm to 7am) 6 days a week, i tried some of those energy drinks and they made me feel AWFUL. i don't know, maybe it was something inside of the drink my body didn't agree with, but i stopped drinking them immediately, and stuck to green tea and that, at least, didn't have me feeling like shit for t...
i can't imagine how some of those memorable set pieces in Uncharted 2 would have worked stylistically if there were two players.
like the train sequence. either split screen or online, the two players would, literally, have to be in perfect sync with each other to keep the cinematic pacing of those scenarios.
what about when Drake and Tenzin are exploring the snowy mountain, when Drake jumps and falls, and you have to press a button for Tenzin to grab you...
lol. thanks.
i'm one of those Sonic fans, although, i have to admit that the last Sonic the Hedgehog game i played was Sonic Adventure. the entries that came out after that did nothing for me.
i played Sonic since the beginning, and always felt that he worked better in the 2D plane. when i saw Sonic 4 was 2D again, i got filled with hope. then i was underwhelmed by the result.
there's still hope for a fantastic 2D Sonic, but i think ...
Thanks, I think!
I certainly don't hate the TR franchise, as I've been a fan since I first played the original on a rented PlayStation back in 96.
I think the series is certainly salvageable in terms of game design and characterization. I don't think it needs to be more combat heavy (which is Uncharted's primary focus outside of characterization), and the puzzle element is what i think sets TR apart from Uncharted.
I don't...
i always thought Uncharted had more in common with the Prince of Persia games than the Tomb Raider games.
sure, the THEME of Pulp Adventure is similar, in that both Tomb Raider and Uncharted were inspired by Indiana Jones, who was in turn inspired by the pulp adventure stories of the 50's, but the two franchises are so different, especially in one key area: Personality.
now, i was in high school when the first Tomb Raider hit, and i LOVED that game to no ...
really IGN?
and here i thought that Portal 2 and Mass Effect 2 AND 3 coming to the PS3 would at least rate somewhere.
how about the unexpected announcement of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception?
hairy nutsack lodged in your throats at all time, but man, at least give credit where it's due.
what about Sony's E3 conference being full of GAMES? Twisted Metal anyone? the fact that MOVE actually DIDN'T suck after all?
...
that's really cool. i don't feel entitled to getting free stuff, but it's always welcome.
Sony already gifted me a free copy of Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves the other week, which was unexpected (especially since i don't have PS MOVE. lol), so good luck to all of you guys with this new gift. that soundtrack is really impressive, though i think i have most of the music on that disc already.
nice to see they put a track from Lair on the disc. ...
nice if it's true!
this was actually a title that was tempting me to pick up a Wii, now i may not have to!
i'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out for the PS3, and if Warren Spector will address some of the issues on the Wii version like the camera.
i also wonder if it will ONLY support the MOVE, or if you'll be able to play it with the Dual Shock. i don't have much interest in MOVE, but games like Heavy Rain, Killzon...
i got
ME2 $60 (USD)
White Knight Chronicles $55
Heavy Rain $60
God of War 3 and Dragon Age: Awakenings (traded in a bunch of games, including Heavy Rain, which i regretted doing, as i loved that game) $0
Alan Wake $32 (used credit i earned from Amazon
Red Dead Redemption $55
Final Fantasy XIII $40 (used my remaining store credit from the GoW3 and DA: A purchase)
3D Dot Game Heroes $30
LEGO Harry Potter (Birthday...
the excuses given to Fallout/Elder Scrolls for being open world are, at this point, bullshit.
Bethesda/Obsidian have been making this SAME EXACT GAME for YEARS now. you can reskin Morrowind, and it'd look and play EXACTLY like Oblivion. hell, reskin Fallout, and it'd look and play just like Oblivion as well.
it's the same type of game Bethesda is known for. they should have producing open world games to a SCIENCE by this point. hell, they've b...
for me, PS3 wins.
why? because i can't afford all of the games releasing next year, but even moreso, i can't afford all of the PS3 exclusives releasing next year.
as i've stated before, my must haves are:
Little Big Planet 2
inFAMOUS 2
Uncharted 3
Resistance 3
The Last Guardian
Killzone 3
i'd LIKE to get
Twisted Metal
Ratchet and Clank Future: All 4 One ...
She's very pretty, but I don't really see it outside of the hair.
Note to self: watch more BBC news...
my Shepard is gorgeous:

Eurogamer is one of the most backhanded gaming sites out there. they can't just give a compliment without also giving an insult.
"(Sony's delusional "Only possible on PlayStation!!!!" bluster notwithstanding)" really?
from where most of the industry stands, Sony's "Only possible on PlayStation" "bluster" is rather true, or what other consoles have titles with such technical prowess as MGS4, Killzone 2 and 3,...
i don't see why they NEED to. i mean, it's just one of many genres. yes, it's the popular genre at the moment, but every generation has it's popular genre that the masses gobble up in droves.
Platformers, RPGs, Survival Horror, Action, Adventure, etc, they've all had their time in the sun. the FPS genre is no different.
Sony has two rock solid FPS franchises that are, most importantly, vastly different from one another, and other shooters ...
yeah, it's the new Lara Croft.
lol. nice try, but my facebook page has pics of my wife. lol.
that's really awesome too. the more the merrier.
the fact that it's possible to improve on something that's already rather impressive is exactly what i'm talking about.
this battle system is fine for those that maybe want to just get up and go with an RPG.
your friend's battle system sounds more complex, and so advanced LBP users might really get some mileage out of it.
the game is open to a LOT of possib...
