The question isn't where MS's handheld is, the question is "Who would be the studios developing games for it?"

Sony has 19 first party, and 11 second party studios. The big dogs are making PS3 exclusives like Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance/Ratchet, and Gran Turismo, etc.

Their not so huge studios, like SCE Bend, Big Big, etc, are free to make PSP2 games.

Microsoft has about 7 first AND second party studios. Lionhead is work...

Instead of being gun-jumping conspiracy theorists, why don't you assume that maybe EA just didn't have anything ready to show for the platform? Even in demo form?

They may be taking a wait and see approach, but EA will NEVER pass up a potential money stream. That's about as absurd as saying Activision would never release a franchise on more than one platform.

If EA and ATVI could make money making games for the Atari 2600, they would have that CoD...

2010 sucked?

I got:

Mass Effect 2
White Knight Chronicles
Heavy Rain
3D Dot Game Heroes
God of War 3
Red Dead Redemption
Final Fantasy XIII
Lego Harry Potter
Dragon Age: Awakening
GTA: Episodes from Liberty City
Alan Wake
Fable 3 (admittedly the one game I was uber disappointed with all year)
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow <...

@Shane

I agree 100%. I had my fair share of shit NES games back then. Most of them licensed titles like Friday the 13th and Dick Tracy.

During the NES era, we barely had game magazines that reviewed games, and being 6 years old, I didn't exactly have an interest in them. So I just bought games that "looked" cool. And even when it ultimately sucked, I still played the hell out of it because that's all I had to play. lol. I didn't have oth...

I don't understand this "best XXX ever!!!" BS that's permeating the gaming culture.

I don't need, or require EVERY GOD DAMN GAME releasing to be the "best EVAR!!11!"

I kinda, you know, just want a GOOD GAME.

Was Folklore the best game ever? No. But it was SO GOOD. I got swept away by the game's story, world, and game play mechanics. It wasn't revolutionizing or changing anything, but was offering a good...

Funny how I enjoyed every single game on that list for what they were. Even Haze and Lair.

The problem with hype isn't so much the hype, but the people who fall for it.

I keep my expectations of games/consoles in perspective, so I'm very rarely disappointed. Anyone that thought that Motorstorm was going to look like that CGI target render was being silly. It's Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo's job to get people excited about their product. They ...

Not the PS3 version.

Fallout 3 killed my PS3 back in 2008 with it's constant freezing.

There were quests that couldn't be completed due to glitches.

Mothership Zeta would freeze every single time the opening sequence with the aliens looking down on you started.

Map holes, item glitches, etc. The game was a mess on the PS3.

Fallout: New Vegas killed my second PS3, for pretty much the same issues.

meh. There are so many games coming out this year that I can barely afford, I don't mind that Versus isn't hitting in 2011.

I've already had to pass on 2 of my most anticipated games so far because I can't get all these games.

I know FF fans have been waiting for Versus for a while now, but there's plenty for us to occupy our time with while we wait.

It's definitely a poorly written review, but grammar Nazis annoy the FUCK out of me.

I'm pretty positive my reviews have all sorts of grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors. Then again, I'm not being PAID by a "professional" gaming website to write reviews, and Greg Miller is.

As a supposed gaming journalist, he should be ashamed of himself. The editor of the review should also be ashamed of himself. I mean, did anyone proof read ...

Enjoyment and value are subjective, though. A reviewer can never speak for an entire gaming population, so that number score he/she slaps at the end of his review is worthless to anyone but that reviewer.

For example, one of my favorite games of last generation is a Free Radical game called Second Sight. I LOVE that game. It scored in the 7's, mostly because Psi-Ops, in all it's generic glory, had more visceral gun play, but severely lacked in story and acting. I own ...

i'd much rather have co-op in a game like Fallout: New Vegas or Oblivion than Silent Hill.

me and my wife would love to play more games together, but instead i just end up watching her play Fallout: New Vegas or Mass Effect 2, when i think we could have a lot of fun if there was some split screen co-op, where i could help her out on missions, or go off and do some other objectives, then we meet up again and continue.

we enjoyed playing Borderlands togethe...

so basically, a 7 is a good score to these guys. seems fair enough i suppose.

the criteria seems really skewed looking at games they've scored 8/10 and 9/10, but 7/10 is still in the "very good" scale range of scoring.

then again, i think scoring games is a pointless practice, and i find the text of reviews way more insightful and informative than a supposed "definitive" number at the end of the review. i don't bother with scores o...

I actually don't have a problem with levels INSPIRED by existing properties, like the Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, and Ico/SOTC levels, as some of them are just purely enjoyable levels. On the flip side, it makes me wonder why they bothered to slap Dead Space, or Mirrors Edge on the level at all, because the levels you mentioned stand on their own as awesome platforming levels in themselves.

The levels that are outright trying to remake (like Mario 1-1, etc) are a bit m...

Three of those levels in that video were from LBP1, not 2.

The twin stick shooter and the Lunar Lander level were the only 2 from LBP2.

The LBP1 levels were very creative, but anyone that's played the first recognized those as LBP1 levels, even if you didn't see the little patch that designates them as LBP levels.

Anyway, the levels were great. The Titanic level is a lot like the movie: really slow at the beginning, then things get in...

May 17th, eh? Nice.

Finally a game hitting sometime near the summer.

Ideally, there will be more titles releasing in the summer.

I have to pass on DCUOnline, Mass Effect 2, Dead Space 2, Little Big Planet 2, and Killzone 3 because I just can't afford all of those games in the first two months of the year. Then Dragon Age 2 hits in March, and I HAVE to get that for my wife lest she kill me.

The first 4 months of this year ...

Red Dead Redemption on PS3 was awesome.

I know, because that's the version I have.

It's graphical issues were GREATLY exaggerated. Don't get me wrong, the 360 version definitely had the graphical edge, but people were acting like RDR on PS3 looked like this:

That was a debacle of epic proportions.

I wonder when it comes out. It looks like something me and my wife will have fun playing together. We're currently enjoying Dead Nation.

I wish there were more couch co-op games these days. It's disappointing that the industry is so online obsessed. Some of us DO still socialize with people in person. We aren't all addicted to the internet.

Just yesterday we had a friend come over, and she played Pixel Junk Eden, Dead Nation, and Scott Pilgrim wit...

Of COURSE it sold 95 copies less than the first, I've yet to get my copy of the game! lol.

Unfortunately, my budget is painfully tight due to being put on call at Konami, so I couldn't run out and buy LBP2 for me and my wife yet.

It'll have to wait until some time next month, if not later, sadly. I'm really looking forward to it, as the game looks fantastic, and so much better than the original, which I loved to death.

Gamers want good games. Why is that such a surprise?

DCUO is a very good game. It just happens to be an MMO.

To me, it plays more like a single player, superhero sandbox games, there just happens to be a bunch of other players running around the game world as well. It does NOT feel like any MMO I've played before, and I've played WoW, City of Heroes, Guild Wars, Conan, etc.

The structure and tone of this game just doesn't feel lik...
