Scorpio will be like $500 to $600. I mean c'mon. Six teraflops and a 2 terabyte HDD? The Neo is likely to be between $400 to $500.
What did i tell you? Like i said before: PC hybrids
Sony just locked Spider-Man up completely. Wow! THAT'S going to move a few fans.
To add to Overload's comment, the PS1 didn't beat out the N64 and Saturn with their fan base due resolution. The PS3 didn't catch up and beat out the 360 because of resolution. There is only one logical reason fans chose it and that same reason is why they are choosing the PS4.
Sure, the bonus is due to resolution, but that's not why it has been dominating.
But the teraflops is the answer
LoL
People already used PS VR, and if I may add, while hooked DIRECTLY to a PS4, not a PC, and they came away blown away. So to even hint at the notion that the PS4 isn't capable of running the headset is complete trash by a butt hurt fan boy. Like I told the other guy, Sony already have kiosks headed to both Best Buy and Game Stop stores this month. Neo will simply enhance what the PS4 is already capable of. But to say that it is needed to make the HMD work at a reliable quality is garbage. ...
LoL @ Spurg
Dude......Really? LoL! Sony owns the rights to the character. It doesn't matter that no one else can play the game. Buy a PS4. If they own the rights, they can do what they want. Why the heck would they look at the people not interested in their console and publish the game and allow it on their competitor's platform just because some of the fans on that system are unhappy? How are you even attempting to argue this? You sound so desperate. Lmao!
Of course Phil isn't going to admit this; he's the head of Xbox. He'd have his azz terminated for praising the competition over his own team's poor efforts. So he has to bite the bullet and keep a smile for the media.
THANK YOU!
Sony has so much under their belt right now. Why Would they need to Show Neo so early just because their competition's platform ran out of steam? These headlines are dumb. Now if Sony didn't have a Neo, only then would there be a problem. Right now, they have their feet kicked. They basically pressured Microsoft into throwing down their one ace, and now they know what kind of cards Microsoft is holding.
Are you listening to yourself? The Neo is a hybrid console. You don't need a PC because it IS the PC but in a console form. It plays PS4 games and PC games
LoL
This article is garbage. The PS4 is running VR right now and at enough ti keep up with the others, not some PC rig, so how is it unable to not run VR? Kiosks are already shipping out to stores, too. LoL! On the other hand, ONLY the Scorpio can run VR and not the other models.
And how is Sony not prepared when they, too, have a hybrid and albeit launching BEFORE Scorpio? Anything Microsoft does with Scorpio, Sony can and will likely react -- especially...
@ BattlAxe
Wrong..... those were revisions. The ACTUAL PlayStation Slim launched in 2012.
I guess it pains some people to accept that Microsoft is secretly tossing in the white flag.
'Sony can't take a notorious, third party game that is multi platform and make it completely exclusive. That's a pipe dream to you Sony sheep'
I guess like Street Fighter 5, that pipe dream just came true. This is what happens when you underestimate a competitor like Sony; they end up laying you flat on your behind all the while you're wondering how the heck you got on your butt to begin with. ht...
All this tells me is Microsoft has run out of cards to play.
Think about it... in under 3 years, Microsoft has already reduced themselves to launching a slimmed down version of the XB1. This wasn't a small revision but a complete overhaul of the system. It is officially the Xbox One Slim. A card like this should be played around the 4th or 5th year of the console's life cycle. The system is now making it's last stand before Microsoft pulls the plug on it. They h...
Prince, that's only the XB1 Slim that is priced at $300. Who didn't see that coming? The Scorpio comes out 2017 somewhere in the fall. THAT'S the one with the 6 teraflops, not the slim model. Running at 6 teraflops, expect the Scorpio to be priced on the expensive side. Its that powerful because it is the only way they can support the Oculus or Vive headsets. The XB1 nor the XB1 S can do this as they are not powerful enough.
Scorpio sting, you say? How bout that Spider sting? Sony just blew the doors off that conference. They have both Batman Arkham (VR exclusive) and Spider-Man under their belt. Ouch.
$499 to $599. I'm thinking $499
Really? That's easier said than done. Microsoft is losing at about a 2:1 ratio. Unless they have a ton of exclusives and a VERY cheap system with a completely different way to play them, I don't see Sony's momentum ceasing any time soon.
LoL!
Pathetic. You still have those stragglers still trying carry that flag in a poor attempt to keep hope alive.
It seems like everyone is supporting motion and touch controls, including the Valve's Steam Machine, tablets, smart phones, Nintemdo, Sony, etc. The only one missing in action is Microsoft's Xbox. Perhaps that's why you think the Tpad is a gimmick?
Reminds me of VR until a certain someone jumped aboard.
