I like this part right here:
"For the uninformed, the camera is used for multiple purposes. One of which is being able to broadcast yourself while streaming a game on Twitch and other supported applications. It can also be ultilized to navigate the system menus while certain games, such as Tearaway Unfolded and Until Dawn, also take advantage of the accessory."
It explains why there is a standalone VR headset as apposed to just a bundled package...
@Ju
If a cheap 4K BluRay player is all you are after and nothing else, then I can see your point. But what I am saying is, unless you already have a 4K TV on hand, you are still going to be coming out of your pocket anyway in order to make use of the 4k BluRay drive. So going the cheap route still doesn't benefit you like you think.
@candy
Sony’s focus is mainly on games rather than format drives. Had they gambled on a 4K optical drive in the original console, it would have increased the cost, and therefore shifted the focus and the overall image away from the platform for extra storage space that may not have benefited the platform like that in the PS3. I guess this is why they have a VR headset rather than a 4K Blu Ray player. Their focus was concentrated strictly on the gaming side this time.
@darth72
That's ridiculous. This is no different from the EyeToy or the PSeye. Those, too, came in two completely separate packages: a standalone and a bundled combo. For those that only wanted the camera for things like video or voice chat, there was a standalone model. For those looking to use the camera for games or the Move controllers, Eye of Judgement, Wonder Book, etc., a bundled packed was available. In the case of the VR display, a pack was put together -- not ...
Because the Xbox slim doesn't support VR. You can easily buy a Blu Ray player and a better one at that, but can you do the same with VR? Absolutely not.
But first you have to buy a 4K TV otherwise the drive is no good.
LoL! @ the disagrees. The truth can sting.
@darth72
Microsoft didn't even have an UHD drive until the XB1 slim. Do you not think Sony knew that their own format was going to have a 4K version? Come on now... You need to stop. How can they be following Microsoft when its their own format? LoL! They could have implemented it at any time into the original PS4, but why would they do that if it would only increase the cost of the unit significantly? They tried this with the PS3, and we saw what happen. Their focus no...
LoL!
Phil is embarrassing himself. I mean, come on. The Scorpio is OVER a year away, and he's already dropped specs on this thing, yet refuses to reveal that high price tag or the box. Its obvious he announced this thing to disrupt the PS4 Pro hype/launch and PS VR holiday launched due to him having absolutely no way to combat the two.
...And now he has to also face the PS4 slim too on top of all that. He and his team are definitely scared.
No one left behind yet the Scorpio is the only Xbox that supports VR. Ok.
So let me get this straight: a game console that doesn't support games.
Yeah right. Microsoft is reacting to everything Sony is doing, and their only way to stay even slightly competitive is by giving the console away at hobo prices, and this strategy still isn't helping them close the gap. Its merely being done to patch all the sustained wounds. But Scorpio is suppose to be the savior, right? This thing is over a year away but does really nothing that already isn't being achieved by the present, PlayStation platforms. Sure, native 4K is being touted, but...
Microsoft just can't catch a break.
Xbox is about to lose that good ol' winning streak if the numbers are looking like this in Japan.
The people disagreeing are the ones bitter. I mean, how do you not see the ecosystem.
This basically tells you that no matter where you go, at some point will you be connected to PlayStation. That's a scary thought for competitors
And how much do you think it costs to get an HDR 4KTV, genius? That's not entirely a selling point neither. Without it, that 4K Blu Ray drive might as well be the normal BluRay player.
If you can't afford a 4K Blu Ray player, then you certainly can't afford a 4K TV.
If you get a 4K Blu Ray player, you will still be able to watch movies no differently. So this is not an advantage at all, especially if you don't have a 4K TV. Its not like you can experience 4K movies on a 1080p TV just because the XB1 S supports a 4K BluRay player. The way I see it, if you can buy a 4K TV, then you can buy a 4K BluRay player.
LoL!
Seven reasons to get an Xbox One S because I really need you to.
8 reasons why you should skip the PS2 and wait for the Xbox.
That's about how that title really sounds. Its not all about power; its a combination of the two but mainly the games, and Sony is clearly no slouch in that department. All the talk about VR, the Rift and VIve are running at a whopping $600 to $800. The Scorpio will likely set you back $500 at the very least. With PSVR gaining more traction, expect other studios like EA, Activision and Ubisoft just to name a f...
I take it in the two months they've won on their own soil is about 130k extra unit than the PS3
All that has been gained will falter when the PS4 Slim, VR, and PS4 Pro systems compete this holiday season.
LoL @ title
Is this a joke or trick question? 2 to 1 already speaks for itself, and that gap is still growing
@ donthate
You mad. LoL! I bet if it wasn't for the PS4, you would be praising the hell out it.
