Because we keep buying games at launch without thinking. If we just hold off on Day 1 Purchases, then lesser people have to deal with this problem. That'll also send a message stating that "we'd rather have a ideal product" than a "rushed one" for the sake of sales.

SC:CT looked pretty good back on the Xbox, so it's no surprise to me that the 2.5 Engine could pull off realistic shadows like that. Soft-shadows, I might add.
The only reason people stick around NeoGaf is because of the "insiders". The only reason people play nice is because otherwise, they'd get banned. Registering for NeoGaf requires approval so more "deterrence". Take away the "insiders" and NeoGaf is as normal as N4G. -with less ads.

Had Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 been able to debut without any split-screen whatsoever, do you think it's fair to give MW2 the same treatment as say....Rainbow Six Vegas or Halo 3? The latter games having both split-screen? It's then considered "inexecusable" that a game like MW2 can be ranked as high as Halo 3/Rainbow Six Vegas but clearly lack a key feature that separates MW2 from Halo 3.

Yup, a game like Metro 2033 doesn't look like it features Multiplayer or even hints at it. So it's fine by me. However when you have a game like Killzone 2 that screams for split-screen support and Campaign Co-op (judging by how you always have a Partner AI next to you), that's a whole 'nother story!

When I think about it. The 1887s are more annoying than Martyrdom. And FYI, in all the games I played in CoD4, I could swear everyone had the Martyrdom Perk. I suppose we'll see in the Beta. As a conservative Halo player, I'm worried the "CoD'ization" of Halo Reach could be for the worst.
I'm skeptic about the armor abilities. Many of those abilities are heavy game-changing elements. Whereas CoD perks like Stopping Power only add 1.5x damage and Danger Close does the same. It's not overpowering and fits the groove just right so that it's not a total advantage over those w/o Stopping Power. An Overpowering perk like Martyrdom is a great example of a "total advantage".
The list of armor abilities in the article reminds me of Martyrdom in a bad bad way.

I don't think that's what Black means, Panda. What he's talking about is the limiting factor. Yeah, all 3 platforms will be created equal. But we all know the PCs are far more powerful so the problem will be that PC Version will be a lesser game because the game has to work on all 3 platforms. That's what I think he's trying to imply anyways.
Try using that same statement with the "Put LAN back in Starcraft 2" crowd and see how that goes.
What EA's doing with their "Project 10 Dollar" has little to do with Piracy and much more to do with the used-game market. Naturally, EA always lumps used-game sales and piracy in the same boat considering EA makes nothing off neither of the two.
