Good games deserve good sales.
That $36M is more likely to go into West and Zampella's wallets than invested back into the company for the better of all gaming. As far as I'm concerned, this monetary-squabble will not bring back dedicated servers to the gimped PC Version or benefit gaming. So why should gamers even give a damn about West and Zampella's financial issues? (Other than the obligatory F-U to Activision)
While I agree with Bravo. Generalizing the dissenters as "PS3 fanboys" only leads to conflict and a waste of time for everybody. Some people disagreed and felt enough passion to post their opinions. Others just post controversially for fun.
Doubtful. The same can be said for Activision being tight-lipped as much. Usually when you're investigating a possible "breach of contract". It's in the interest of both parties not to say anything because anything-said will be used in court. Which is where I expect this case to go as money fuels ambition.
Graphically, this game disappoints. Gameplay-wise, this game looks fun :)
See you all in the beta.
IW/Activision Bombshell on EA/DICE's release of Battlefield: BC2. After all the trashtalk EA/DICE has done and this happens? Oh man. Where's my popcorn? This feels like one really good early April Fools' joke. But then again....
Agreed. Activision = asshats.
IF anything, IW is just as guilty as Activision for MW2. Afterall, before a concept became a plan: someone had to approve it. IW's hands are not clean.
I'd still give the "worst publisher in history" title to EA. With all the crap that EA is at the epicenter at. The stacks just don't add up in comparison.
When you hear of company layoffs, it's EA first. When you hear of takeovers, it's EA. When you hear about controversial privacy violations regarding DRM: it's EA. Whenever you hear about the used-game market debate, EA's right there. EA flexes its corporate muscles to squeeze money out of us as much as possible, usual...
I dislike both Activision and IW equally. Activision had the balls to raise the MW2 PC Version to $60, while IW had to balls to say the PC Audience are idiots who don't know how to navigate a server list to justify their lazy console-port.
My sympathy for IW dried up when they decided to treat the PC Fanbase like idiots.
Good Photoshop work.
One thing's for sure. If IW really wanted to leave Activision. The employees can just split and form their own company. They did it before when they split from EA to create IW in the first place.
Early April Fools' Joke, me-thinks.
Looks like GamesRadar is skeptic about the direction the game's going. What with it being ported to consoles and the limiting factor in disguise known as New York City. The hidden-agenda is clear and Camarillo, Executive Producers, speaks like a true salesman.
With all due respect. I'll wait and see more as the months roll on by and truly see if Crytek lives up to the predecessor that made PC Fanboys cry since 2007 as their rigs fell pray to the boot.
This is a PR-S...
Timesplitters is the reason I still pop in the game, call 3 friends over, and mash it up in Assault Split-screen versus 8 other bots. Pure madness. The split-screen co-op? Oh, LAN Support?
Free Radical knows how to give a game legs. Years from now, I still love this game to death.
I think what dipsetboy was implying is that, Ubi is spinning the delay into a good thing. Whether or not SC Conviction is already finished and Ubi-Montreal is already working with Ubi-Paris on the next Ghost Recon remains to be seen. The fact that SC Conviction got delayed into the new Fiscal Year heavily implicates that the delay was a financial decision. Don't always believe what the authorities have to say, especially when their business is your money. They'll say whatever to gain your con...
You might as well, Panda. That way, when you figure out the FOV issue is still there. You wouldn't have wasted your money.
lol, that was a good one Charmers.
