Sony probably already pulled the servers that housed the FW 2.4. You're lucky you were able to download it from their website before they took it off there now. Now all you'll get is Error 404's.
I don't think that's what he's trying to say. There is a problem with FW 2.4 and that's why Sony pulled the 2.4 FW from the servers as per damage control procedures. What Taytay was really trying to say is that the problem isn't as widespread or as catastrophic as people are making it out to be.

I pay $50 not to see these ads, and yet I see them! I wouldn't care if the ads are only on the Xbox Live Blade, but THEY'RE ON ALMOST EVERY SINGLE BLADE. I would understand if the Silver Membership got this cause the service has to pay itself somehow, but to the Gold members as well? I'll agree that there's alot from a standard perspective. However, that characteristic alone defines MGS. When you think of 'alot of cut-scenes' you think of MGS. It's what MGS is and always did since 1998. To detract from that is to kill the series' roots.
That would be so awesome. I can look at a guide and play the game at the same time! It's definitely something that goes above the 360 Dashboard. Here's hoping!
And this story doesn't sound too far off from the truth. I did work with Play-n-trade for awhile fixing broken 360s and buying broken 360s for close to nothing ($100, $50 probably) I fix them up and sell them back out for $240 w/ warranty and upgraded work. If there's a market for broken 360s. Microsoft surely played us out for fools to milk money out of the economy in a new way.

They're discontinuing their 20GB SKU and lowering the price. This is the same as when Sony dropped their 60GB SKU and lowered its price. I suppose that's cool. However the difference between Sony and Microsoft was that the 60GB SKU was/and still considered 'teh best PS3' to own cause of 99% backwards compatibility.

I don't doubt that MGS4 can be done on the 360. The graphics reminds me of Assassin's Creed in a good way. I'm sure people will gripe over multiple disks, but that's only a fanboy-mindset of hubris. It's not going to kill you to switch the disc every 8 hours; because at least switching a disc is faster than waiting a mandatory 2-3 min installation to finish. Lost Odyssey did it and I was perfectly fine with it.

2 YEARS! Just let it go and accept the fact that it won't come to 360 ever. Accept the fact that you bought the wrong console with MGS4 in mind.
