BS Police, unless you've played Quake 3 or very much like fast-paced shooters like UT2k4 (or UT in general) that exist only on PC: I don't think your opinion need be read. Being able to see both sides of how a Quake-veteran looks at Halo is the best way to move discussion forwards.
We already know Halo fans will love Halo. We also know that anyone that doesn't like UT or Quake can't ever understand where Houghton is coming from. So if you do fit the criteria of a "Halo Fan&q...
Whatever you may think, he's entitled to whatever standards he sets for himself. No matter how high they are.
If you're going Core i7, I highly recommend a 1366 LGA, just for future proof-ness. But honestly, it all depends on what you're using the PC for. I cannot recommend any Core i7 Mobos if all you're planning for is gaming in the long run as the LGA 775s or the AM2+/AM3 boards will do the job just fine and on a better budget.
I'd take the extra funds from the mobo and invest that in a SSD, as you'll see the power of the CPU shine much better as the HDD is always the bottleneck here....
I'm still on a EVGA 8800GT Stock.
I know Nvidia will do a refab of their 400 series. It's only a matter of time. When that happens, prices will drop and that's when I'll step in. $400 is definitely out of my price range for graphics cards. I prefer $200-$300 and my only goal is to push Crysis as far as I can. I reckon I can snag a great deal on a 470 or a 5850 around $250 when Crysis 2 drops.
L4D2 is on special at $21 and $61 for the 4 pack. If you haven't gotten L4D2 yet, there's absolutely no reason for you not to now.
As much as I would love to bust Microsoft's balls on the 4 RRoD 360s I went through since Launch, the fact of the matter is that Microsoft sold 40M, and they're still in 2nd Place in World-wide sales to-date.
Also, I'm pretty sure that PS3 will be in 3rd Place for this-gen. They've been stuck there since Launch. 4 years later, it's still in 3rd Place: even with PS3 Slim.
That's just facing reality.
Ubisoft can make whatever excuse but the world has already judged their actions, even before this crack came out.
In a relationship, I want a girl with diverse interests along rare common ones. That's what keeps a relationship fresh. If the couples shares too many interests, it's only a matter of time until they grow tired and poof! Divorce/breakup.
...but if the sex life is good, then my opinion is void.
I think that has much to do with the fact that you can fix the registry yourself if it borks itself by booting into DOS and doing the necessary operations. I'm sure Microsoft got its share of hate too, but it kinda went away when homebrew methods popped up.
That and using apps like Acronis makes it easier and user-friendly to protect your registry.
Or maybe that's such an ass-way of doing it that no one wants to backup their whole HDD for just that one inconvenient save. Glad the option's there, but there's a better option: just remove the protection all-together.
In MW's sense yeah. But the CoD that Treyarch's cooking up looks to send us back to IW's twilight years when they made really good WW2 shooters. CoD:WaW pleasantly surprised me for the better. I'm anxious to see what's going to happen with the next CoD.
That was funny....=D
I'd love nothing more than to be wrong, as that benefits us all. But every time I see more of the screen shots and videos, the more I'm reminded that of Halo 3 in a bad way.
I'm calling it. The graphics for Halo Reach will be underwhelming and fall well-below expectations. You read it here first folks. It'll be like the Halo 3 MP Beta all over again.
I don't know what you guys are seeing. It looks the same to me. Same stubby knee caps. Same texture mesh.
there's a huge difference between "publishing" a game and "developing" it. Of all the games you've listed, only Dead Space is one developed by EA themselves (EA Redwood to be specific). Any other talent that came through EA is either.
A. Publishing contract (Crytek)
B. Bought out and owned (Bioware, DICE)
The only thing game-development wise that EA improved is how to milk its customers for more money. Whether it's reducing the value of used...
And people thought EA is a better company than Activision. That, EA actually "changed". The only change here is the difference in the sub-total at the end of my receipt before tax.
hey, that's pretty neat!
